Bring the old food log interface back.

It appears that the food log input format changed today (2/13/18). Has anyone else noticed this, or is it just me? The new format is much more cumbersome in my opinion. I prefer the original format. Any input/comments/recommendations welcome!

Agreed, the new food log is very cumbersome, plus there is no longer an "Edit My Foods" option.

The new food log is AWFUL!!!!!  Why ruin a good thing.  Can't  have fraction of ounces--ie  5/8---and if you go over your allowed  amount for the day, you can't even log it in..  Terrible, terrible change.....

Why?! Why can't they leave this alone?! If I am going to have to learn a "NEW" interface, It's not going to be with fitbit!!!!! Why should I? Will they change it again? Why don't I have the choice to use the old one?????!!!!!!!! Not listening to your customers is an excellent way to go out of business.

Horrible format. Not at all user friendly. Please go back to the old format. Until then can not use the new format.

I agree on the not being able to drag foods between catagories. Not being able to do that has created a hurdle. Other than that so far, it is great.

It's a given most people don't respond well to change. I admit, I too, was a bit flustered when I encountered the new interface for logging food the first time. But in the same breath, once I became used it, I accepted it.

This is terrible.  I do not understand why a company would make such a change. I am thinking FITBIT is not concerned with customer comments. That is too bad.  In the future I will looking elsewhere for a replacement for fitbit.

I heartily agree that this new format is not user friendly. I liked the old one better and am glad to see I'm not alone.

This change was needed, it streamlines things better. Some are just so
short sided, can't see the forest for the trees.

Terrible!  This new food log is awful.  The HUGE graph is useless, intrusive and takes up way too much of the page. Entering foods has now become rather burdensome while the information I rely is not readily available.  Why undermine the entire Fitbit experience with this horrible "upgrade" ?  Fitbit caught a lot of flack when this new look was introduced last year but they seem to have ignored the concerns identified back then.  Please bring back the old format or at the very least, make it an option for users.

I don't think its as much short sighted but more the fact it does not work correctly that frustrates people and needs to be further looked at before the final decision is made - a Ferrari looks good but its useless without an engine. may as well drive a porches until one is fitted instead of sitting in something that's currently going no-where

im not against change im just against not having correct working and full functionality (some of which is missing from this new layout

Please explain exactly what you mean. How is it that taking three times longer to record your food and making no it less intuitive is better.

For those who are accepting of the new interface can you please provide guidance on how an individual would create a recipe then assign servings to that recipe so that it breaks down the macros and calories per serving? Since we cook a lot in our family this has become difficult with the new interface but if there is a way around it this would help us. Thanks

Please get rid of this monster! More clicks, more confusion, and no advantages!

Please revert to the previous food log!  This is cumbersome and poor UX design.   Not at all "user friendly."

This interface is badly design, cumbersome and takes ages to do something that was previously easy and quick to do.

Who in heaven design this and how this bad design was able to pass your quality assurance is a mystery to me.

This dashboard need to be efficient no just good looking.

This is terrible , please roll it back

I would like to go back to the old method of transferring food logs. Example: I meant to log a snack & accidentally logged it under anytime. I cannot move it to snack like the old version.

Please get rid of that massive chart wasting space at the top of the food log page. There are endless annoying drop downs that are just slowing everything down. I want to be able to see the food I am logging so I know how much, when, and what I entered with out going through multiple steps and getting frustrated every step of the way. Also I no longer can add a food from a previous day by clicking on it and adding it to my current days meal. This is very much a pain and makes it impossible to add the correct item when i no longer can find it that way. Also I rarely eat in decimal points, but usually have 1/4th cup. Also on water I drink 16.9 ounce bottles not 16 or 17. It is much harder to be accurate and stick to already had diet guidelines when you can't ever enter things in the way they really are. Please fix this issues so we can all reduced this added stress from our lives who ever created this mess caused. Our health is very important to us, hence the whole reason we have Fitbit's and use the food logs, so please stop making so much Chaos!! and difficulties for us who just want a simple calm way to live our healthy lives! There are many more issues but I have already spent too much energy (entering in food and drinks the last week and also trying to voice my concerns) to go on any longer with the growing list!

If you like taking 2-3 times as long to DO ANYTHING, it's awesome.

As well as being a downgrade, badly designed and slow you can't see the quantity of each item after posting unless you open that item, before you could increase or decrease on the main screen. I use meals a lot then just increase one item that I've had more or less of. Now I have to post the meal then select each item to see how many was in the meal, too slow and a backward step.

To All we see a lot of issues on here and some have been reported to have been sent to the developers please check out the main forum for updates to these concerns https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Fitbit-com-Dashboard/New-Food-Logging-Page/m-p/3289026#M93002

do I like the new layout - no

does it have to change because of HTML5 implementation and Adobe being discontinued at the end of 2020 - yes

has the change been facilitated in the correct way - no

is there room for improvement - majorly so, but we still have time for all this so why can you not revert to the old and implement something that can represent all levels of user and not bring in a whole new way without a guide on to how it works - this is not the first time a change like this has been implemented that doesn't fully work in a user friendly way - the mobile dashboard still has a long way to go as well - please perfect and move on not just change and ignore, again what works well with mobile does not always correlate to desktop/laptop and the same in reverse we need full functionality on all platforms not you get this with that and that with this - Keep it simple this is just overly complicated and confusing

Kind Regards
