Charge 3 - Auto Pause functionality

I am honestly puzzled that with all the advanced technology in Charge 3 something so simple as auto pause does not exist.... You have to manually stop time tracking for running or author biking, even though there are plenty of sensors plus GPS connection that can detect stop automatically. Absence of auto pause turns stats for these exercises into a mess... And when you're biking or running in the city with many traffic lights  - it's just have feature simply for safety reasons (just try to play with the tracker when you're on the road on  a bike on a sunny day... you'll see what I mean). Auto pause exists on other Fitbit products  - why not Charge 3?

The auto-pause  should realy be added to every Exercise app!

I know this is an old post but would love to see this for bike rides as well on Charge 3 (or any auto-pause capable device for that matter)

Yes. Totally agree. On my dog walks every day I use MapMyRide for recording my walk because of the auto pause facility. Because of the stop start nature of a dog walk this is more accurate. For my solo walks I use Fitbit. Please please can we have auto pause on Fitbit walk.

Mods, when is this going to be changed? Its ridiculous. Every sport tracking app has had auto pause for YEARS you have it for running why the hell isnt it there for biking???

Hi @hayyann, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to ses Auto Pause functionality on Charge 3. Thanks for sharing your feedback. I've moved it into a similar request.  A lot of users are asking for this option, I hope we receive updates soon.

@Fitbit I think you should seriously take this post. Many users find this really distracting and feel like the Fitbit becomes worthless during workouts such as long walks or bike rides. As a user we would like to be heard.
