Classroom fitbit use

I'm a 3rd grade teacher. 3 of my students got Fitbits for the holidays. As soon as they found out I also had one, the challenge was on. Their goal was to beat me ( not easy- I'm a marathoner). They got the entire class involved and their parents too. I was so impressed. I wish there were kid sized ones and that I could get a class set. I can only imagine how active my students would be if we had class challenges, they could show off their badges, and of course try to beat me..plus it could be used in academic ways as well! If you're looking for some guinea pigs we are ready!

"I wish there were kid sized ones"

 

I understand the current fitbits are for 13 and above-  how about some for those who are younger?  Childhood obesity is unfortunately not going away..
