This would be mostly to the devices like the Fitbit blaze or the surge that can connect to phones or have their own gps built in so maybe they could have a compass feature to see what way you are facing if you get lost or something!
You should ad a navigation ap or screen With Compass and GPS grid. This would make the Ionic a usefull backup tool for navigation not just a Fitness watch

Hi @sustainblue thanks for sharing this suggestion and depicting how it might look. Whilst this wasn't released and isn't planned on Surge, a compass app is possible on Fitbit Smartwatches like Ionic and Versa, and could even be picked up by a third party developer. Thanks for sharing.
A simple magnetic compass sensor would be helpful when travelling in new and unfamiliar environments to assist basic navigational awarness and help mitigate getting lost.
