Control Amazon music with voice command

Maybe in the future since the Versa 2 has Alexa built in we can start controlling Amazon music. Alot of people pay for the HD service on Amazon music and it would be really nice to use Alexa to control it. Alexa is part of Amazon so why not have the App available?

Thank you for responding, I really appreciate it.  I apologize for my technological ignorance, I don’t understand what you mean by stream my music from the internet through my phone?  When I bought the Versa 2 I (and the sales rep) thought the Amazon music App was compatible with it. Thank you again.  If you have the opportunity, please explain in more detail on how to stream my music from the internet through my phone.  No worries, if you don’t. Truly.

Also . . . I’m so so DISAPPOINTED and FRUSTRATED with the Versa 2 OVERALL because NO actual instructions (or a website listing to access the manual electronically) came with it. I found that I can BUY a manual for the Versa 2, HOWEVER, it's ridiculous to have to ADDITIONALLY buy, an Instruction Manual, to be able use the item I already bought!!!! There are so many people over the age of 40 that are not tech savvy on any level and need the instructions. An actual hard copy is preferable.

I would prefer to have the Amazon music app.  I don't want to use Alexa. I want to control my music through the App myself.

@LadyTarzan at the bottom of every page is a link to the online, searchable, interactive help docs.

Pick your tracker from the first page, on the next page their will be a link to download the user manual. Or type in a word into the search bar.

I just tried and I do have some control from my wrist for Amazon music.

Yes, why is there no Amazon music app for an Alexa enabled Fitbit?  I have multiple Echo devices so, of course, I have Amazon music unlimited.  Why would I want to sign up with another music service I would also have to pay for.  Please add an Amazon music app.

@ConnieHiem maybe because Fitbit and Amazon haven't come together in agreeing to this.

@Rich_Laue maybe because spotify and the others had a preexisting contract that excluded fitbit from adding other options.

I'm personally hoping Fitbit is bought by Google and they'll add some common sense to all this kind of thing.

Amazon music must be made a part of the Versa 2 with a software update.

whatever deal Fitbit have with other music suppliers to have their apps on the platform needs to be reviewed from the perspective of a customer.

I have purchased a versa 2 for my son and was very close to getting one for myself and my wife. Without having Amazon music included I will not now make these additional purchases. My friends have also asked my view of the Versa 2 and I'm afraid that I will ahve to ensure they are aware of the lack of Amazon music which is likely to also impact their purchasing decision.

Please can you provide guidance on what would be required to make this a future upgrade? How many likes? Or is there a date when existing music app agreements come to an end to enable Amazon Music?

Waiting with hope.

It seems silly to be able to use Alexa and not be able to play Amazon music. I don't have or want a spotify account.

Please bring Amazon music to Fitbit Versa 2 and all fitbit devices that allows apps. I bought this watch with the impression it had Amazon music and was disappointed when it didn't have. Seems wrong as you are partnered with Amazon Alexa not to have music.

Would be really good if either Alexa would link to Prime Music or a Prome Music app was available. It's the biggest disappointment about the Fitbit.

Another vote to Add Amazon Music to Versa/Sense.

Deezer? Pandora?? After paying $330 for the sense, can fitbit work on making it possible to download stuff from top music providers like Amazon and Spotify? I'm baffled that gps was finally added to a premium device but then fitbit decided to partner with music providers that account for just 6% of the industry. I can't listen to music on my Sense.

Perhaps once the number fitbit Sense (more like "NonSense") and versa 3 returns climbs into the thousands, the fitbit powers that be will listen to what its user base is reasonably asking for...

Let me get this straight:

I purchased the Versa 3 because I wrongly thought because it worked with Alexa, it would also work with Amazon Music and there are no plans to release it?

Let me tell you the first thing I did when I set up my Fitbit. I wiped out the TRASH apps. I can’t even remember their name as they’re too trashy to remember but I’m sure it started with letters “Spotify” and “Deezer”.

Then I realized my grievous error.

The second thing I did was locate my receipt for a refund.

Hey FITBIT: No Amazon Music, No customer. Period. Get versatile or go home. But don’t worry I’ll be spreading the word.

I don't think I would want to listen to Amazon music through the wrist.

I’d listen through ear pods, it ensures the arm and wrist don’t get tired! 😂

Fitbit should be able to control music played through Amazon Music on phone. If music is playing on your phone it will show on your watch and you can pause, skip songs, and change volume, etc.
