I have Fitbit Surge and the option for notification works pretty poor as the messages in Cyryllic are not shown as they should be, they are show in squares.
Moderator edit: updated subject for clarity and labels.
It is very disappointing that there is no support of Cyrillic. Fitbit watches are being selling in countries where Cyrillic used as a main charset. The boxing of item is translated, so buyers do not suspect watches themselves does not support their language. Fitbit, please consider customer feedback and add this high demand feature.
I was a loyal user of Fitbit in Hong Kong for over two years. But it is quite stupid for the lack of supporting language in notification function.
Please note that the notification function without Chinese language is useless in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
I dont know how your team to prioritize the firmware update items, but I am sure that there is no reason for me to buy Fitbit anymore in case this problem is not resolved in the next few months. Especially this problem is pended for almost a year.
First of all, gotta say the latest firmware (8.301.7) got some big improvements esp on the notification side (now can finally set per-app notificiation toggling), nice work Fitbit!
But sadly while simplified Chinese is supported, I still heard nothing about the support for traditional Chinese characters on any devices including Blaze which I'm using right now. So please Fitbit, support it in the upcoming firmware updates or at least tell us you are working on it. Cheers from a HK user who owns a Charge gen 1 and Blaze.
Is there any progress with support of Cyrillic symbols in notifications?
Got Fitbit Blaze, love it, but notifications are pretty much useless for me with all the symbols being rendered as empty rectangles 😞
I believe there are a lot of retuns because of that issue. Russian-speaking market is big! Fitbit, you're losing money, make this simple (yes it's very simple) fix!
