Dark Theme in Fitbit App for Android and iOS

Hello, It is a sincere request to add the dark theme for the android application as the appearance of the application during night time is very bright and with the dark theme it will be easier to use the application and not cause any harm to one's eyesight

Darker colored dashboard would be great for eyecomfort!

I have trouble really seeing the grey on these selections due to the colors(light grey) used. This happens on the water screen on top with the blue Save and back buttons. Can’t you make the grey darker and the blue darker as well. I doubt I’m the only person that has this problem

Hello @Mits07! Good idea, thanks for taking the time to share it with us. Keen to hear what others think?

Hi @SantiR sure I am eager to hear what others have to say

Yes, the mobile apps desperately need a dark mode.  App almost unuseable at night without it.

Add my vote for the Dark Theme.  I struggle using the app at night with the current bright white color scheme.

It would be great to be able to customize the iOS app background color. Just as one can do, for example, when sharing the main screen. In any case, at least a screen ‘dark mode’ should be available to check the app at night (so much whire is very uncomfortable)

Yes please! A darker display would be very welcome. The white display can be very harsh even in the daytime, but I do most of my app adjustments at night.

This should be a straight forward change. It's been 8 months since this has been suggested, can we please have some action on it?

Since I can't edit my previous comment, there is another suggestion which has been marked as "Under Consideration".
I'm looking forward to when it is implemented!

My biggest problem with the current Fitbit app is the lack of a Dark Theme for usability at night.

I really need this!  I am using the iPhone X and currently have accessability mode enabled to utilize false color so that I can have black (dark) backgrounds.  Would be nice to have the option w/in the fitbit app to make use of a designed dark mode.

+1 for a dark theme request on the Android app. Thank you

OLED displays are becoming the norm, and clearly many of us exercise at night.  Please do us and our eyesight a favor and take the time we've been begging for since 2015 required to make dark mode an option.

Honestly, the themes already exist in the share menu. If you guys can make the white-on-aqua and periwinkle-on-navy applicable to the app's dashboard, menus, and modules, I think that's all we'd need.

I see that this feature request was first mentioned back in 2015. Here we are three years later with no satisfaction. Get with the program fitbit! Your CUSTOMERS (you know, the people that are ALWAYS right) want this.

I, personally, find it borderline excruciating to use the app because it is too bright. I need, want, and would happily pay for, a dark theme.

Snap to it!

Fitbit already let's us choose between different themes for sharing the daily achievements and I like those colors so why not use those three themes within the app?

Should be fairly easy to implement 🙂

I would give anything for a dark or night theme, my eyes are very sensitive to light and anytime an app offers darker themes i use them.  Also anyone who suffers from migraines could appreciate it as well, i get them so i know i dont want anything bright...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE offer a dark theme, id settle for the dark blue that you can change to when you want to share your stats for the day!

Many phones today have OLED screens and a dark theme is better for both the battery and eyes (especially at night). Don't be greedy and don't hide it behind premium feature - Garmin already has a decent dark UI without being asked (navigation experience here, probably).

Any update on this matter? It seems that most apps are offering a dark theme option right now.

Are we ever going to see this ugly app get a Dark Theme at least?

A dark mode will save on both eyestrain and (more importantly) battery life. Please prioritize this.

I have trouble really seeing the grey on these selections due to the colors(light grey) used. This happens on the water screen on top with the blue Save and back button and in the food sections where you see your type of food - greyscale is used and too light.. Can’t you make the grey darker and the blue darker as well. I doubt I’m the only person that has this problem

So I am one like most of you who looks at two computer monitors at work.  Then when I get home am looking at multiple devices (iPad, Macbook Air etc.) as well.  Please, please, please, is there an option to make the app dark?  This would be a giant surprise if there is because I have been using the iPhone app for about 3 years.  If there isn't please, PLEASE, please give us one.

Would be nice to have the dark theme for when opening the Fitbit app at night and it not having to be bright white for walking in evening or syncing app when your waking up. As well to choose how long Fitbit light stays on for so you can check your stats without flicking or tapping it
