Display more stats while swimming with Pixel Watch

I'd like more information available as I'm swimming using he Fitbit app on my pixel watch. The app shows a breakdown after I've finished, but I'd like the length data and other stats along with the timer.

 Fitbit team,

I’ve noticed that your swim tracking features are lagging behind competitors like Apple and Garmin. As someone who swims regularly, I’d love to see more accurate and detailed swim stats, including stroke detection, lap counting, and heart rate monitoring in water. Improving these features would make Fitbit a stronger choice for swimmers and enhance the overall fitness tracking experience.  I am getting close to selling my Fitbit and buying a Garmin.

Totally agree, we need more info during the swim training 🙂

At least tell me how many lengths I've done. I've come over from a Samsung watch which gave me a comprehensive breakdown of my swim on my watch. It's a joke but it only tells me the time. Please sort this out ASAP!

I went swimming for the first time with my pixel watch and was severely disappointed that it did not show me the distance, or laps that I had swam, just a stopwatch. My 8 year old watch could do that. It makes me so sad. On top of that, there is "configure stats shown during exercise" but it only has slot 1 elapsed time. This does me very little good as I don't want to swim for 20 minutes and count laps in a 25 yard pool.

Has this issue been solved yet? It seems ludicrous that the pixel 3 is in fact tracking lap count but that i cannot see it until after my swim if y finished. Rather all I can see while swimming is the elapsed time. Swimmers rarely are targeting a duration. Rather we are targeting distance and want the watch to relieve it's from having to count laps the entire swim. As it is right now I have to get out of the pool, sync my watch with my phone, and then open up my app on my phone, and open the workout to see lap count/yards. Obviously no once will do that mid-swim to see that. Google purchasing fitbit should have been accretive but instead i have to take the ridicule of Apple users who can see their laps as they swim. Honestly one of the few legit reasons for an apple user to make from of me as an android user. Please let me know if this has been solved and i am just using the device wrong.
