Don't remove Challenges & Adventures

Do not remove Challenges & Adventures! A lot us use these features to motivate us and connect. My kids are able to connect and do challenges with their friends too.

I only found out about this, this week and I am gutted.  The reason I stayed with Fitbit is due to the challenges.  I will probably end up replacing with an Apple watch as I am an apple user and there will be nothing to keep me loyal to Fitbit.  I have used the challenges for years, week in week out and they motivate me and friends and family.  I have also converted many friends and family over to Fibit purely based on getting involved in our challenges.  What an absolute shame and surely a terrible business decision.

FITBIT PLEASE DO NOT GET RID OF CHALLENGES AND ADVENTURES

@wcrosman , the "not currently planned" is referring to the saving of challenges. They mean they are still going through with dropping them.

I agree, in the same predicament. Stride kick is great for challenges. But I use my Fitbit for the health aspects, sleep, weight tracker etc. I didn’t know about a CAS, I will look for it to sign.

Absolutely :hundred_points: feel the same
There is an app called Stridekick that has challenges and it doesn’t matter your fitness tracker.

Thought I would cheer us all up a little poem I wrote....

"I stopped Fitbit Premium, it's true
Sunsetting challenges, I'm through
I'll find a new way to stay fit
And keep my health in tip-top kit

I'll run, I'll swim, I'll bike
I'll find new ways to do what I like
I'll keep my heart rate up and strong
And keep my body moving all day long

So goodbye Fitbit Premium, it's been fun
But now it's time for me to run
I'll find new ways to stay on track
And keep my fitness goals intact"

.... actually poem written by ChatGPT 😄

If they indeed remove challenges & adventures then I will be switching watches. I have been a FitBit user for many years and got my Mom and MIL wearing one. I am in several challenges every week with family and friends, if it's removed then there isn't any reason to stay with FitBit.

Why can't I export my data?

It only gets to 8% then stops!

So I cancel the download, and now  have to waith 24 hours to download again!

Am I going to miss the data download window becuse of the system?

Another 24 hours!Another 24 hours!It stops at 8%It stops at 8%

I was given a link tonthis form by the representative in chat.
The top reason my family and friends have been loyal to Fitbit for many years and purchased many Fitbit trackers was in order to use the Challenge feature. We love being able to play these competitive games with each other and often challenge each other.

I agree. The challenges were a big reason why I stayed with Fitbit for almost 10 years. If they are definitely are removed, I will probably be updating to an apple watch as I will be able to connect with more people through their platform than Fitbit at that point. The challenges allowed for such a nice area to communicate, hold friends/family accountable and get/give motivation.

Please reconsider Fitbit.

@leear  I exported mine and all it's just a bunch of letters and numbers that mean nothing to me. Just looks like writing of a computer program. I did it at the beginning of all this and didn't have any problem. Could be they are overloaded with everyone trying.

I won't be staying with Fitbit if the work week hustle is gone and that Google Pixel watch is ugly.  Won't be going there either.  A lot of money for a boring ugly watch.

Just a reminder there's a petition you can sign: Petition · Stop Fitbit from removing challenges, adventures and trophies! · Change.org. I don't know if we have a shot of reversing this decision based on Fitbit and Google's complete lack of response or caring for their most loyal customers on this, but I will be advocating for it until D-day on Monday. I've moved over to Stridekick and plan on getting a Garmin when my current Fitbit bites the dust.

I think fitbit is making a mistake removing the challenges and adventures. I use this feature all the time with my friends. It's a fun way to get motivated to walk more and connect with family and friends at the same time. I have been a loyal customer of fitbit for more then five years, but I might buy a different fitness tracker the next time I need one based on the changes to the website.

I am very disappointed to hear that the challenges are being removed. I have been a Fitbit user since 2015. I've been through multiple Fitbit devices. Truly the only reason that I have not changed to an Apple Watch is because my friends use Fitbit for challenges. We do daily, workweek and weekend challenges every single week for years. With no information about what features are replacing it and no timeline for this to happen, I have no reason to stay with Fitbit anymore. I'm not sure how this move is supposed to help be competitive with Apple as they allow challenges. It just sounds like it's pushing away what's left of it's supporting users.

Fitbit, please do not remove the challenges.  I have three separate group challenges that I participate in weekly and one on the weekend.  It helps to keep me motivated and also keeps me in regular contact with some friends from my old job. This cannot possibly be that hard to maintain.

I had to post some challenge results today... It made me really sad. I thought that I would share part of what I wrote ....

💥This is it 💥

Well, despite our very best efforts, it sounds as if Fitbit is leaving us high and dry when it comes to our ability to use the app for challenges.... This was the final (name if group) Fitbit challenge as we know it..... I know that some of you are relieved ... The app has has been less than ideal and cooperative on so many levels... But that being said .... It did do one very, very special thing. It brought us altogether from all around the world, to support and encourage one another on our fitness journeys . As crazy as it sounds, I made closer friends through this app than I have ever had anywhere else . The love and respect that I have for so many of u... U can not begin to imagine ❤️

I then spent hours upon hours DM ing people from 3 of my main groups... I sent out over 200 dms ... I chose to DM people rather than tagging them, because it's more personal, and I have developed very strong relationships with the people in my groups.  I also did not want loose track of people. Many are so frustrated with Fitbit. They know that over the years I have had 14 Fitbit's and I have 5 accounts because it allows to set up friendly competitve challenges for many teams and groups.    People know that I spend hours and hours preparing for challenges,  collecting and posting results,  I do it ... Because I see how grateful and appreciative people are for my efforts. I often. Reach out to friends in Fitbit to check up on their well-being. People struggle with health and family issues.... We have become a very tight community . People joke that since I closed my business when covid hit.... I took on overseeing Fitbit Challenges on as my full time job.   Now that this is being taken away from us, people are reaching out to me... Making sure that I'm ok...they know how devastating this situation is for me.   It's really taking a physical toll on my well-being....  That's the opposite of what Fitbit is supposed to do and help with..   Fitbit is meant to promote stronger health and wellbeing and promote a stronger healthier community ...    Taking challenges away is having such a devastating effect on people....it's such a sad situation

Rome was not built in a day but Fitbit Challenge will be destroyed by March 27.

I agree with this post. The challenges connect friends and add a fun motivational element to users by connecting remote friends and family .

The product will not be enhanced by removing it's best feature.

Please take note and reconsider this decision .

The challenges and adventures are not underutilised areas of Fitbit, as is obvious by the response to this announcement.

I trust you will take a step back and realise that this is a poor decision that will affect the likelihood that anyone will choose your trackers over others with better features .

I have also been through Multiple Fitbit devices.  Fitbit claims they are doing something to help people stay healty.  Well the Work Week Hustle was doing exactly that.  Fitbit is going to lose a lot of customers if they follow through on not having any challenges.  I know I won't be moving to the Google Pixel.

Unfortunately, I truly believe that google is trying to destroy Fitbit I an effort to drive people to their google watches but it seems to be driving people away from google. I most likely will just get an Apple Watch. Sad because I loved my Fitbit

I'm flooded with messages across all of my accounts .... People are looking to me asking if this is really true.   They believe that because I have put so much effort into petitions and forum discussions...  That I somehow have an inside scoop as to what Fitbit is really doing   Sadly... I feel just as lost as they do.    I am but a lost sheep leading my flock of hundreds to unknown territory.   I'm almost hoping that this is all a bad dream ... Fitbit really needs to reconsider their decision decision to take away Challenges .    We are approaching the 11th hour here...
