Do not remove Challenges & Adventures! A lot us use these features to motivate us and connect. My kids are able to connect and do challenges with their friends too.

I am frustrated that the challenges have been removed. It was great for my friends and I to stay motivated. I am disappointed that its no longer there.

Please restore the Open Challenge format. We had fun competing and checking our messages instantly for the competition. This closed group challenge doesn’t allow us to have fun competing on a daily level and making comments to one another.  This new closed challenge is horrible.

@Murbis58 What closed challenges ? Has Fitbit started a new thing ?

They were bought by Google. They removed challenges.

The Challenges have been changed . The way to get to a group challenge is
through Community and it’s only a closed group without the messages we’re
able to send.

I am in total agreement. I have taken my fitbit off for the first time in years. I am considering the Apple watch now. The only reason I kept fitbit was because of the weekly challenges with my friends. I guess they are not listening to the community of users.

What is the sense in removing these challenges?  What else are we left with?  These are the reasons we all have Fitbits and have been replacing them every time they died!!  I got friends to leave Apple and come over  just for the challenges. It appears that we the users have no say in your product and we are the ones using it !!!!!

I have made so many friends from all over the world on my weekly and weekend challenges over the years and now just like that’s it’s gone.

The group I belong to has moved over to Stridekick and an interesting thing is happening. I have found, personally that I rarely open my Fitbit app, all other premium features are now rarely used. Hence I have cancelled my premium subscription and will move to Apple when current Fitbit dies. Who knew, challenges were the “loss leader” for Fitbit, (not a big money maker but got people in to use many other features).

@Jacqueline1970 , I was wondering the same thing. I can't find anything about closed challenges.

The ONLY reason myself, my husband and extended family and friends have fitbit over other devices is to stay connected and do the challenges, specially the weekly challenge! If this is removed, I will not be replacing my Fitbit once it dies. please put back the feature!!

And now they are sending out emails trying to push products with $30 off. Nobody wants to buy the products when you take away one of the main reasons of using them.

All that Fitbit is now is data mining for Google Health. My old fitbit broke in November and I wasn't going to bother with a new one. I come back and picked premium so I could do challenges. Came back to nothing but constant prompts for data opportunities. That is literally all that these health smart watches are, data mining. Gross.

Oh, thank god my watch is in the return window for Amazon. Not keeping it, no point with the removal of challenges. Google can go jump off a cliff if they think I'm going to pay for them to use my data. No way.

My father and I loved the challenges. It was why I bought him one in the first place.  Without them, the product experience is greatly diminished. I’m very dissatisfied with this reduction in functionality.

Part of our company perks involves purchasing fitbits for new employees so they can participate in our monthly challenges!  Please bring back the challenges....what is the big deal?  If your customers are happy with it, why remove?  What harm will it do the company to keep the challenges????  This makes no sense.  If you do not bring them back, we will (a) obviously stop purchasing fitbits (b) spend more money on Apple Watches!

BIG MISTAKE...HUGE!!!

I think Fitbit made a huge mistake by removing challenges. All these years that Apple watch has been out, for many of us the reason not to buy one has been because we didn't want to lose our Fitbit challenges with our friends. Challenges have been a great motivation for me to walk. I don't know why you would remove them. This is so disappointing. Bring them back please before we all throw our Fitbits away and buy an Apple Watch.

I will say that watching Fitbit mutely and unapologetically register the dismay and outcry of its users when it removed this feature is one more reason I’m eyeing Apple watch for my

dad and I. This is some pretty bad customer service.
