Edit Time of Daily Reset of Stats / Add Nightshift

Hi, It would be great if users could change the daily reset of stats to a different hour. We night owls who go sleep late after midnight now have to calculate the differences in our heads and that's not ideal. Thanks!

What is the point of this thread if there is nothing being done about it. There has been a lot of suggestions and comments since 2013 and its 2016 almost 2017. Is there someone that is from fitbit, a representative or something, that can at least give us an update or something instead of having a large amount of your customers sit here unhappy with your  product just because we have to work a different shift.

I too am a graveyard worker. My Charge 2 needs to last through the night without resetting. Doing a search, it seems that hundreds of users have been asking for this feature for years, and Fitbit just ignores this simple, common sense request.
It looks like I'm going to have to return this item... its too bad. I'd hoped this would work for me.

Please allow us to choose a reset time that suits our needs, so we don't stick to the midnight reset.

 Thanks

Yes please!! I work 12-hour nights as a secretary, I just want to be able to set my reminders to move for my entire shift. Changing my time zone would change the date on my Blaze at the wrong time, I'm fairly certain I'd write the wrong date on a work document if I did that!

Totally agree with many users here... also a night shifter and got a charge 2 for hubby for Christmas, he works nights as well. Why should we need to have a "work around"? Why not give us an update??? Thanks for bit!!

I work third shift and it is a pain trying to keep track of true "daily" activity with a reset at midnight. A user specific reset time would be beneficial.

I work night shift as a nurse. It would be really awesome if there could be an option to change the start/end of every day to 12:00 instead of 00:00. It would be really convenient to be able to see my activity, calorie intake and heart rates grouped in my active times. It might even take a completely different app geared toward 3rd shift or swing shift workers with variable schedules.

Thank you!

Also a night shift worker - as a physician who alternates nights and days, simply resetting the day start time seems like it wouldn't be enough for the large community who are night shift workers but regular daytime people when away from work. Would be ideal if the software could automatically infer sleep like it infers a run. Given the wealth of data available to the company, you could probably figure out how differentiate daytime-awake people from someone who is sleeping, not with exact precision perhaps but certainly better than nothing.

I upvote this feature! As an IT professional working overnights at a data center, I would love to start with fresh stats when I wake up in the evening and have the stats carry throughout MY day, regardless of what time it is. Changing timezones is not really an option as I have Blaze and that would defeat the watch function.

Please make this happen!

Exactly my situation.  People have writting this up several ways but not being noticed, sad.

I too work 3rd shift. I work in a 911 center where we sit in a chair for 12 hours at a time and dispatch emergency services.  Currently, the move reminders can only be set within a certain date (ie midnight to 11:59pm of the same day).  As a 3rd shift worker, my day runs between two dates.  Especially since our jobs keep us in a chair for extended periods of time, I would love to have the opportunity to set reminders between two days that way I am getting up every hour while I am on shift.  If this option is not available, then perhaps setting 2 different reminders would be great.

As a recommendation, you can still change to another timezone in your Fitbit App or dashboard so that you are past 12 hours from the one you're in. Anyways you will just have to look at your activity in 12 less in your mind, but the workaround will definetely work for you

I am definitely having a hard time with this. I work from 6pm-6am and so changing the time zone so that it resets every day at 9am instead of midnight has worked for keeping better track of my statistics, but means that my time on my watch is always wrong. This is very frustrating because I want to be able to use all of the features this product has to offer. I hope this issue gets resolved soon.

Has a way to set your schedule for steps been created, instead of the midnight reset?

One problem is that people are writing it up many ways instead of doing a search. Therefore the votes are being split, and not one of the requests are getting enough votes to get the attention of the developers.

They've made it clear they're not going to do anything about it.  Knowing programmers and programming, it is not that big of a task.

Just got this for Christmas.  Was so very excited till I came across this massive oversight.  How many upvotes does this need to be implemented?

Thinking I might have to return this if there is no solution in sight.  (I know about the time zone work around.  I refuse to us this as I feel like its part of the problem at finding an answer.  If they can give you that as a solution they don't have to work on a real solution)

No, not so far... Looks like people have been asking for the feature for years.

I'm don't have hope for it happening soon

That would be quite nice indeed. My schedule is opposite what most people consider "normal," and the option to change that reset would be helpful.

Anyone have any idea if this is something Fitbit has in the works, or planned down the road somewhere? Looking this up, it seems there are a LOT of people with the same complaint/request.

I agree, as a night shift nurse,  I also find this very frustrating.  Even though we are the minority, with so many shift workers in the world today, it's pretty unbelievable that there is no adjustment for us.

I've already returned it. 😞

Other than this post, is there anything else we can do to get their attention? Serious BS. As many who have posted, I am a nurse who often works night shift. This time situation does not work. I shouldn't have to 'trick' my fitbit into thinking I'm on the other side of the world just so my stats are accurate. Totally negates the whole purpose of wearing it. Seems like this has been a problem for way too long.

I wrote to them and their suggestion was the time zone change. The fact
that they came up with that answer is indicative of the fact that they know
it is a problem but since there is a way around it there is no need to fix
it. That's whats really got my blood boiling.
