Edit distance for all activities with the Android, Win app and the web

Now that the iOS users are able to edit distance of a recorded exercise, may we on Android, Windows phones, and through the Web Portal, please also have this ability?

This would be very helpful for stationary activity as in spinning, elyptical, treadmill, etc.

Thank you for considering making the experience consistent for all users.

Yikes. Glad i still have my Garmin Vivoactive. I'll use that for my treadmill activities i guess. Bummed this was never done. My new sense is a much better smart watch, but disappointing for indoor activities. I have yet to see how it compares for a GPS tracked activity.

It is pretty ridiculous that this has not been implemented yet.

I'm not terribly surprised. I worked for RunKeeper for about a decade (did mobile development there from the very early days). Manual and indoor activities always took a back seat from a product perspective. I'm not surprised it's that way with other fitness companies as well. Fitbit is from the same era. It's...disappointing, but companies have priorities that fit whatever they're focusing on.

How on earth is this not a thing? Even with a premium paid subscription to not have something this basic is absurd.  Most of my running as of late has been on the treadmill and while I am making good progress, that just means my "data" is getting more and more inaccurate. My most recent 5k treadmill run was literally off by more than 10% as it registered as 4.47 km. Allow users to edit our distance so we can keep solid data and refine a more accurate "stride length" over time.

Hell, at this point, the app should be able to recognize a "similar" regular exercise based on length and heart rate and ask you to verify/modify the distance if it is out of margin with previous runs. Clearly that is wishful thinking however, if a simple edit hasn't been added after years of "looking into it."

How has Android devices not got an ability to edit activities, it has been highlighted for years!

This needs to become a feature asap, it makes using my fitbit infuriating

@Tarn it probably is because after all these years, we only have 63 votes.

Good point, it must be an easy job though. It already exists on the apple app.Guess it's time to sell up and get that Garmin I should have got. I only bought this fitbit 4 weeks ago as well

Maybe we need to put the link to this feature request out in the groups we are part of in the Fitbit app and ask people to vote for it. If we all do it, and lots of people vote, maybe our request will move up and out of the backlog! It is worth a shot!

The easiest way is simply add the link to your Signature.

I have an iOS version and I still cannot edit the distance for the things I need to, I live near a main city and often the GPS messes up around the buildings, I had a walk just this morning that was about an hour and it is saying that I walked 11km! I walk fast...but not that fast! Would be great to be able to edit the distance in this instance as well instead of only being able to change the duration as the duration is not the problem.

Also yes being able to edit the treadmil etc distance would be a massive help, it is accurate when walking but as soon as you bump up into a fast walk/jog or run it is out.

Edit the distance on recorded activities on the luxe. For instance, the treadmill says I've done 3.0 miles but the Fitbit says I've done 2.4. We should be able to edit the distance to 3.0 miles as the treadmill is a source of acurracy.

Hi @Harpervn, thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion about having the option to edit distance on your activities. I've moved it into a similar request. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs.

Thank you again for your participation in the Feature Suggestions Forums.

So let me get this correct?  I'm on Android and if I use the Treadmill for a run afterwards i can't edit the distance - but iOS users can?  Terrible - c'mon Fitbit - you're now really Google and you own Android!

It is very weird that I am able to change whether the unit for an auto-logged bike ride's distance is in kilometers or miles, but I'm not able to set the actual distance.

I would upload a screenshot, but the forum software complains that the auto-generated image link URL contains a forbidden sequence of numbers.
