Fitbit Journal - Notes on the Fitbit app

How about a space in the app for a daily note. I would like to be able to leave a note on the daily results page. So that if results are high or low I would know why when looking back. IE: was I sick so my daily results were very low or were they extra good and for what reason? In sure folks would have lots of reasons to look back at results and would want to know what was what at that time. Ted

After looking through the boards I see there used to be a journal tab.  I would love to be able to journal how I feel after exercise, eating certain foods, sleep, taking medications and weather.  All of these things would help me figure out patterns for pain, mood and just when I feel positive and good, or terrible.  My doctors always request this stuff, I would love to be able to keep everything in one place.

in the interest of consistency it would be ideal if there were areas where you could choose an emoji image for; the weather, mood, sleep and a pain scale # box.  Obviously a place to actually journal and in my dreams a way to print as a spreadsheet from database that would include the activity, steps, food, HR and calories.

Thank you!

I also know there are many infirm people fitbitting, so maybe a group for us in the community.  We are all trying to get better and stronger.  It would be very encouraging to talk to some folks that are trying to survive. Smiley Tongue

Notes for the nights sleep as well. That would help you to easier find trends. The data in the app, e.g. sleep cycle data, tells you WHAT happened. But it doesn't really tell you potentially WHY something happened. Just adding a few words would add a lot of value to the data on the screen.

I agree that daily notes would really be beneficial.

It would be helpful to have a comments section in the Sleep area for adding notes, for example 'Took medication for a headache' or 'Forgot to take my medication' or 'Drank too much wine last night!'

Please add notes options. Ability in main mobile app dashboard and daily exercises. If not for exercises, at least in main dashboard on mobile.

I agree. I always check back and it's hard to remember why you didn't eat much, oh yes dentist, or it was really hot so ellivated fluid intake, all night party so no sleep etc. Just a small space with limited characters available for a quick note-to-self would be such a help.

Thank you! Between everyday life, medical issues, kid problems, etc. I
can't keep track of what I did yesterday let alone last week. I had an app
that allowed notes and codes so you could look up things in groups to find
out how many times you did something different because of medical, or
trips, or injury etc. Loved it but switched because it wasn't compatible
to my new fitbit.

Still no space in the app for comment. Why not????

I read somewhere that in the past there has been a field to add comment. Why can't that be installed again?

Any chance of putting a function on the app where you could put a short message about your day ie pushed limits today, traveling for work or sick day in bed. Lets you reflect back on you day when assessing if/if not met your goals.

+1 for sleep notes

My fitness pal and lose it have implemented food logging with pictures. I love the idea of being able to just snap a picture of my food versus counting calories.

Another suggestion I have is to be able to log food but disable the calories. Sounds weird I know, but not everyone wants to count calories or macros. This would be a great option for those of us using that approach. 🙂

I would love this feature for weight/strengthening days. It would be nice if I could note or log which weight/strengthening day I am on. That way, when I hit the gym, I don't have to second guess or schedule on my calendar what days I already have done. For example: leg day, back day, chest day, abb day.

That way, when I hit the gym, I don't have to second guess or schedule on my calendar what days I already have done that week/month. For example adding a note or label on completed "weights" activity tracking which reads: leg day, back day, chest day, abb day. This would be a nice added feature for the app, not necessarily the band itself.

It would be great to add personal notes with the sleep record so you can validate the tracking or note if the sleep Record occurred while charging Fitbit

Please add a comment area to dashboard. I like to add comments to my activites ie. the temperature I ran in, weather, who I was with etc... This will markedly decide my next watch as my past Garmin tracker watch had this prior to getting fitbit.

I would love for there to be a note section on the app. You could say "sick in bed", or, "nature hike", or "flying cross country" and on the weekly summary it would let you see more info on why some days are better than others. I had knee surgery three weeks ago and barely got to 1500 steps the day of and few days following. It would be nice to note that.
I, personally, go back and look at stats from weeks and months prior and it would be nice to see reasons for some of the low and high step counts.
Thanks!

It would be great if you could add notes about your workout, such as what you did, personal records, intensity, etc.

This is such a no brainer I'm shocked (now that I've recently gotten a Fitbit) that this isn't possible. This is a MUST add.

Notes would add much to the Fitbit app.  As an example, a diabetic could record blood sugar readings and/or insulin, a woman could record her cycle, and absolutely anyone could record stress levels, moods, and other aspects of well-being.  Please add notes so we can communicate more effectively with our health teams.

It would make the program much more useful to be able to log a note about the day. I also would like to be able to log a brief not in the sleep area. Thank you

I agree...for instance today none of my goals were attained due to being sick and bed ridden...when I look back how am I supposed to know why my numbers are so skewed with out a place to note it.  There was a day last week that my activity was way down...when I was looking at my report I had to sit here and try to figure out why that day looked so bad!  I would love to just be able to jot a note...sick, family emergency, that time of the month, medication, fasting for blood tests...ect, ect.....I understand that this was something that you had once....why was it taken away and why hasn't it been brought back...it seems there are plenty of users that could use this tool....look at this thread!!!!

You and hundreds of others agree that we need this but the owners of this product don't agree. Sad.

Unfortunately we care more about the benefits of their product than they do about us. They've got our money - job done. They'll probably bring out a completely new Fitbit with this facility on it so we're forced to buy it, rather than do a simple update for us.
