Fitbit Pay needs to support real banks

In the US it needs to support TD, Citizens, Keybank, Chase, Citi and BB&T

In the UK it needs to support HSBC, Lloyds, RBS, Barclay's and Standard Chartered

In Canada it needs to support TD and Bank of Montreal

In Singapore it needs to support HSBC and Citi

Most of the 200 supported banks have 1 or 2 branches and nobody ever heard of them.

I'd like Citi to be included. I switched to the Versa 2 since it had the pay option, but it doesn't accept my card. Disappointing.

@Rich_Laue please stop with this idea that we should contact our banks. I have actually done it. It is not something a bank can setup on their own. FItBit and the bank need to have a conversation.

The simple fact is that Fitbit advertise they have contactless payment when in fact the reality is they do not. FitBit also seem to totally ignore what must be now 100s of comments.

Or do you work for FitBit?

I use contactless payment through my tracker every week.

The reason i say to contact the bank is because Fitbit says the bank needs to set it up. My thought is to go at what you say is a problem from both ends. Of course you can always simply ask Fitbit to ask the bank.

@Rich_Laue I have to 🤣 🤣🤣... Literally hundreds have "simply asked FitBit" to add common banks. Frankly, the whole situation is laughable. But let's face it you don't get a 1.5 star rating on Trustpilot without trying. So not holding my breath on FitBit sorting this. My guess is they are in trouble. The new premium pricing in-app is a sign of desperation to generate some cash and I wouldn't be surprised at a profits warning.

One problem with simply asking someone to add common banks, would be whose definition of common are we using.

That still doesn't change the fact that the bank has to add Fitbit pay. Fitbit doesn't add a bank to Fitbit pay. It is the same for Android Pay, and Garmin Pay and why both of them suggest asking the bank.

Oh, come on. There are numerous requests for the big four. That is a well-defined group of banks in each country. Just in case FitBit hasn't heard of Wikipedia here is a link that will let them know how they can help their customers. Which I'd like to remind we are. All the people complaining in this group paid extra for NFC based on marketing material that led them to believe FitBit pay would work.

@NevBD I've heard from @Rich_Laue that the correct way to inform FitBit about Wikipedia is to call your bank's call centre, You will get a gentleman in Bangalore. I've put the conversation into Kannada for you:

ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು www.wikipedia.com ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಫಿಟ್‌ಬಿಟ್‌ಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಬಹುದೇ? ಧನ್ಯವಾದ!

After that, he will contact FitBit corporate headquarters in San Francisco and let them know about Wikipedia.
