Fitbit studio for Charge 5 to create clock faces and apps

While the Charge 5 has 23 different clock faces, it doesn't exactly fit what I would like to see, and others from looking at comments.
If a dev could design and publish a clock face for the Charge 5, I think the majority of complaints related to the clock display would be addressed.
Please! Add support for Charge 5 to the Fitbit Studio!

Fitbit will never get my business again. I’m not sure any of the smartwatch makers will get my business. Just looking at a new Apple Watch will send a person to the poor house.

Just to keep this thread going, please give us some professional faces for the Charge 5.

Example

Top line: date

larger fond: time on a single line “10:32”

Some may consider them boring, but I would prefer boring and easy to read over obnoxious. This watch may need to go back because the watch faces are incompatible with what I want in a watch.

Even a good looking analog face with subdued color actually less color for some of us older men. At this point I refuse to where my charge 5. Every face currently available makes me look like I’m wearing my daughter’s watch and I don’t even have a daughter.

After 15 million 800 thousand steps and being unable to see the screen for the past year I’ve finally given up waiting for the charge 5 to become a device suitable to replace my charge 3.

The device itself is great but the screen display options are so bad as to be cringeworthy and unusable. Clearly enough charge 5s are sold for Fitbit/Google not to care but now I’ve given up and taken the leap to an Apple Watch at 6 times the cost of a charge 5.

My fitbit is probably now out of battery and will be binned on return from my current trip. I loved my fitbit 3 and have been waiting and waiting for charge 5 to have a clock face option that would not frustrate me.

That last statement summarises the problem if I purchased the charge 5 it would frustrate me constantly. Goodbye fitbit.

I would wager that the Fitbit developers all took the Google payout and ran.

Sadly, this marks the end of my 10 years with Fitbit - I enjoyed the run.

For any half decent programmer this would be straightforward. No this
indicates a conscious decision to let Fitbit coast whilst cherry picking
knowledge and channelling it into Google branded watches.
That complaints about such obvious flaws in the Fitbit charge 5 have been
met with a wall of silence amounts to nothing more than poor customer
service. As an Alphabet share holder that is disappointing - it's very
basic stuff and indicates this company is not as well run as I used to
believe.

After a charge 2, two charge 3s, and a charge 4 (that unfortunately broke a few weeks ago - the common manufacturing error where the band attached to the device), I really don't see myself going for the charge 5. The clockfaces are just awful. I don't understand why Fitbit moved to a colour screen. It serves no purpose and looks tacky. At least offer a simple (mostly) monochrome design that can be worn in a professional setting.

I'm also very unhappy with the removal of the altimeter. It is not the first time Fitbit removes features. I've been looking at the Versa 2 as an alternative, it lacks some of the functions the Versa 1 had. The 'smart' scale they sell now only measures weight, while the previous version also measures body composition (i only found out after I had saved enough and they stopped selling the old version).

I really can't get myself to even try the Charge 5 with these faces. Part of me is considering to get another Charge 4 if I'm lucky enough to get them, but I'm seriously considering alternative manufacturers (Garmin being the likely option, but their prices are quite steep). I like the design of the Pixel watch (and it would go well with my Pixel phone), but I find it too expensive and I don't need a smartwatch. I am (another) very disappointed customer. Part of me doesn't want to leave the Fitbit ecosystem as I have so much data on it and always liked the devices, but part of me also feels like perhaps it is time to switch to a company that does seem to listen to its customers.

Anyways, thanks to all who left a response, helps me to make a more informed decision.

Disappointed to see this thread rumbling on for the past more than year and no change. Another poster said it right - some of the watch faces are so bad they're cringe worthy.

Fitbit need to admit they're not Apple and have watch faces which don't cry out for attention or praise. Some of us want the facts in an easily legible format. Please just put it in this creator studio thing people are talking about... There's surely no reason not to.

Yes please this is much needed, I would be willing to spend a good amount of time to create some usable faces for the community.

Just got my hands on my first Fitbit, Charge 5. It would be an understatement to say that I was disappointed to see the software of this ecosystem.
One would say that in 15 years of existence on the market, the system would be top notch, but that can't be further from the truth.
Such a simple thing as custom clock face isn't supported? That's really embarrassing.

If it’s possible yes I would love to create some watch faces. I’m even open to other people’s suggestions. My time is very open since I’m a retired IT person.

I would love to see your new clockfaces.

I can guarantee my clock faces would not be all the extreme colors currently on the Ch5. My clock faces would bring everything back down to some earth tones with maybe just a little color when looking at one's activity.

I just got a Charge 5, and I cannot believe how disappointing the clock face options are, please add the ability to make my own clock faces or get shared ones created by other people.

I was never given the software to make clock faces. In fact I just put my Charger 5 away and purchased an Apple Watch. I hope they someday fix the watch faces and a few other glitches.

None of the watch faces show battery percentage. I would like to be able to create my own watch faces.

Opportunity: Colour screen - let's make this so great looking it's going to be the market leader

Reality: Let's give the project to a colour-blind intern who doesn't realise that 90% of the world population use DD / MM date format and have some taste when it comes to design. That way we can ensure that our user base is so fed up they'll stop bothering us by buying another Fitbit product.

It really is quite bizarre!

Please add the Charge line of products to Fitbit Studio. It's obvious we all would like our device to have custom software and apps. Zero reason not to support that

I appreciate that it is not feasible to design all the different watch faces to satisfy everybody...

But I don't understand why it is so difficult to get charged 5 in Fitbit studio. Is the technology between the square screens and Charge 5 that complicated?

Tundra2006

I think it has to do with the fact that Google purchased Fitbit as the Charge 5 was released. I am so convinced of this that I shelved my Charge 5 and purchased an Apple Watch. I now have everything I wanted in the Charge 5.

First of all the Charge5 device is a really great piece of hardware.

However...

After reading through 7 pages of this, it is apparent that Fitbit has no intention of actually addressing this issue.

I am a software developer and have worked in many different organizations and it is obvious that the talent and leadership in this company is lacking. A simple change like creating some useful and attractive clock faces is not rocket science, so maybe these ARE talented people who just can't stop surfing the web long enough to do some work for a change. If so, then fine. Add the Charge5 to the Fitbit Studio app and I (and others like me) will do your job for you.

I know this post is a bit harsh but I think you guys have read enough nice stuff and need to be fed some hard reality.

I would like to see on main screen without swiping:  Heart Rate and Time.

Nothing else.

The clock faces are terrible.  I understand that a lot of GenZ may like them but I’m GenX, and I think that at more than 1/2 of Millenials would agree- more standard watch faces are needed.  I’m really questioning going back to Apple.  Of all the clock faces you offer, NONE are professional!

Yes! I desperately need something that looks more professional, and the options are DIRE. I can't change fitbits because I need the heart features without paying top dollar. Would love some of the classier luxe options!
