Fix the issues experienced with the Fitbit app

Ok, so nothing is fixed, and now you can't log feedback on Fitbit one. It's been made read only.
JUST FIX THE APPPPPP PLEEEEEEEASSSSSSE

Fix the app!!! Devices won't sync for now 1000s of users.

The app will not sinc since recent updates. We have two android phones and neither will sinc. I have to restart the phones every day for this to happen. Have tried every solution under the sun and nothing fixes it.

Unfortunately they do not care, they are still selling the product in the full knowledge it will not work, especially for Android users. I was advised to factory reset my Sense, which I did, it now wont sync with the phone and is useless to me. Google/Fitbit have not even acknowledged that there is a problem they have just left the thousand of effected customers in the wilderness. Truly shocking

I am extremely frustrated. My Inspire 3 has been unworkable for a week. I've tried all the so-called fixes numerous times to get it to work. I've been on the phone with customer support several times. I was told last week that it should be fixed by Monday, today. Today when I called, they're telling me "two days." I am in another app, StepBet, where I pay for challenges and can win money if I meet my goal. Because Fitbit is not working, I am in jeopardy of losing money for challenges I've entered and paid for.

Talking to customer service and being told "we're sorry for your inconvenience" just doesn't cut it. AND the last guy I talked to tried to blame it on my phone, the same phone I've used with Fitbit for several years. I don't like being lied to to get me off the phone. The fact that it's taking so long for a fix makes me question the competence of the people at this company. When it's time to replace my tracker, I will be looking at products from companies other than Fitbit.

Unfortunately I think it is more a lack of care than a lack of competency. To not acknowledge there is an issue and lie to existing customers is almost as bad as still selling a product to new customers in the full knowledge it will not work. They seem to be doing both. I was advised to factory reset my Sense, which I did, now the watch wont sync to the app so it is essentially useless. I have read this has happened to many other users. Several in my local gym. I am not surprised you are looking at alternatives. I have literally just purchased a new watch from A different company. I am fortunate enough to be able to do this, many others are not. I will never be using Fitbit again, as soon as the issue is resolved i will either sell or give away my Sense..

I was advised by Mod that syncing issues are fixed. Users need to download Fitbit App version 4.28.2 (Android)  and all should be fine. I am unable to locate this in Playstore, has anyone else managed to download it and confirm the syncing issues are resolved?

Just moments ago I tried AGAIN to set-up the app. I got the "4 digit code" message, then the "Not Working?" screen. I am done with Fitbit. I am in 3 challenges at StepBet and I can't change trackers in the middle of a challenge, but as soon as they are done I will trash my Fitbit and acquire a tracker from a different maker. I have used Fitbit for years up to this point. Their total lack of concern for this issue is annoying and frustrating. My Inspire 3 has not worked for over a week now. I've had it.

Once the challenges I'm in are over, I will sever my ties with Fitbit and
get a tracker from a different company. I've already suggested to my
husband that a new non-Fitbit tracker would be a nice Christmas gift!

Spent ages, going through all the restarts & reinstalls etc. Very frustrating, well annoying really. Such a waste of time & Fitbit don,t seem to care.

How can such a high tech firm run by google take so long to get it sorted.

Also who was responsible putting an update out that was so useless & destructive. Was there no beta testing etc?

I was told by customer service that they are working on a new update that should be available Thursday 10/31. Of course this was what they told be after waiting the initial 1-2 days that I was told it would take to fix the issue. Hate that I have become so dependent on mine for calls and notifications. Not to mention that the so called updates take a couple of hours to complete and then are no good for fixing the issue.

Having the same issues with syncing for the past couple of weeks now. Turning off + on Bluetooth is not working nor is restarting phone. I have had Fibits for 7+ years and loved them all.

I've decided to leave Fitbit now due to the lack of responses on this Community Forum, the removal of the Windows 10 Desktop App which some members relied on for various reasons such as disabilities and the lack of customization on the Fitbit App eg.
I dont care for green and would like some colour options.

It's such a shame.


PS: Got a new tracker today (Galaxy Fit 3) and it synced to the app automatically! Much cheaper too XD

Follow up on the "Thursday" update....didn't happen. No change. Still unable to use. I have decided to go with the Galaxy Fit 3 as well and it will be here this afternoon. Plan to cut ties with Fitbit.

The whole app is getting worse and worse with every update. The sleep data display is awful, the new readiness score tells me absolutely NOTHING and all my exercise data keeps disappearing. It just keeps getting worse.

On the help center they put a warning saying they have a sync issue with some android users ..why don't they put it here in the community as a general announcement so we don't go here and there trying to find info

I have a Fitbit Charge 3,4,5,6 none of which works with the current Android App. I had been using the Charge 5 error free for the last year, then the Web app disappeared, and I was forced to download the android app to my Samaung phone. The App then decided to update my charge 5 which immediately bricked it. I have tried all the help suggestions from Fitbit but none have worked.  So, had just received a Charge 6, which worked well for about a week and now refuses to sync with the App. As a Fitbit Charge user for almost 10 years, I am done with this Brand. I hope Garmin or Samsung have a better product!

I'm beyond frustrated.  Found out yesterday that my PC fitbit dashboard no longer works and hasn't since August.  Tried to figure out why and found I now have to use a smart phone app.  Using a smart phone for any length of time is hard on my eyes and distorts my vision when I go back to regular life.  So I spend time on the phone with a fitbit support person to download the app and get it set up and it looks fine on his end.  On my end I'm getting a warning about letting fitbit link to my One and when I click on that it takes me to a screen that gives me another warning that it is taking longer than usual but they are on it and then tells me there is an error.  On the dashboard, eventually I can see the current steps from my One so it must be having some sort of chat.  I then try to link it to my Weight Watchers app.  My health insurance rates depend on my participation and fitbit has beeen linked to it to automatically record my activity.  Now it isn't so I'm in danger of losing my employer's contribution to WW and my lower health insurance rate because of non-participation.  Fitbit and WW are still not talking to each other.  I chat online with a WW rep.  They can't come up with anything either.   I spend 6-8 hours trying to make it happen.  Nothing.  So last night when I got back from walking the dog at 12:10 or so, it finally showed my "today" steps but yesterday is now back to zero.  No history at all.  I can't even retrieve the numbers to manually enter them into WW.  At the current time, my fitbit and the app are pretty much worthless to me.  Being able to have the utility of the dashboard is important to me.  The PC version was easy.  Why did they have to make it so cumbersome?
