Fully support Daylight Saving Time on Fitbit app and devices

I’ve used Fitbit for a very long time. I used to be a tester and had interactions with the product folks via twitter back in the day, so I’m a loyal user. What I don’t understand is how is the app still unable to handle the time change after all of these years?? Do y’all not care to fix it? If not, just say so. It’s just ridiculous and annoying.

This problem has been ongoing for years - twice a year - when the time changes.  That Fitbit won't or can't fix it is telling. Apparently one must wait for a day or two when it magically fixes itself.  I've gone through all the suggested fixes to no avail, which include turning bluetooth on and off, turning my phone on and off, signing out of the fitbit app, turning off the "Set Automatically" feature in Time Zone, etc., etc.  Nothing works.  Very annoyed and with all the other changes, this is my last year of Fitbit after 9 years of using it.  Giving myself a competitor device for Christmas...one that works...

Not a tester. Why can’t they fix this problem?  It seems no one cares about this problem.

I completely agree!

I got my 10-year badge and really enjoy using my Fitbit but because of the time change over the weekend my Versa 4 is completely dead!

Very very disappointed!

In a turn of irony I got a 10 year badge on Saturday. On Friday, I woke up to the time being off by FIVE hours and the Luxe won't sync. It's a known issue, and there doesn't appear to be a solution as yet.  I never experienced a problem with daylight savings time, now it's perpetually five hours ahead. Can't use the alarms, can't sync....

I’ve had a Fitbit device for at least 15 years. In *every* single year, semiannually, at the regular time changes, my Fitbit screws up. Twice a year, every different device I’ve owned. It’s not a surprise Fitbit! The screwups are rarely the same but, when I reset my clocks, I know the next day will arrive with a Fitbit problem.

It's surprising that this issue still pops up, especially with all the updates Fitbit has had. Hopefully, they’ll finally address it soon—time changes shouldn’t be this complicated by Abougoush Law.

I’ve been incredibly frustrated with my Fitbit not syncing lately! It’s supposed to be a reliable fitness tracker, but it just won’t connect to the app on my phone. I’ve checked the Bluetooth connection—it's on, and I’ve even toggled it off and on again, but nothing works. I’ve tried forcing a sync multiple times, and all I get is a spinning wheel that never resolves by https://lrapp.net/

Restarting both my Fitbit and my phone hasn’t helped either, and I even cleared the app cache and ensured everything is up to date.To make matters worse, it seems like other devices are trying to connect at the same time, which interrupts the sync process. It’s so disheartening because I rely on this device to track my workouts and progress, and now I’m considering unpairing and re-pairing it, which feels like such a hassle. If anyone has any tips or solutions, I’d really appreciate it because I’m at my wit's end!

I’ve been a FitBit user for 10+ years with at least 5 different devices. EVERY time there is a change in the time (both springing ahead and falling back), ant Fitbit device I have has my daily hours of activity ( at least 250 steps per hour) wrong. EVERY TIME. Why has Fitbit not fixed this glitch in over 10 years?!

This is so frustrating. I wake every time the time zone changes due to daylight savings to find FitBit still hasn't fixed this. Do they care about their community? I think not. When people ask how I like my FitBit, I tell them of this issue and suggest they find a device/app that fixes known bugs.

I have had the same issue. And, I've repeatedly ngone into my settings on my fitbit and on my computer dashboard and changed the hourly activity setting to fit my old time range.  Even though I fix it, it will not update.  Beyond frustrating!  I hope they get this fixed soon.

First time with this issue, but I know I’m not alone. I cannot correct my activity time in my setting. It’s beyond frustrating.  Without the online dashboard I cannot get my issue fixed!!! Please help.

It is ridiculous that something that happens twice a year can’t be remedied - please fix this glitch!

I had the support team call me. Waste their time and money to get calls about a known bug. maybe that will get their attention and escalate this fix.

Fingers crossed- thanx for letting me know it is a waste of time to ask for a call back

Guess some bugs are just here to stay—unlike the excitement of the site!

I agree with you. It's pretty strange that such a bug persists for years, especially with device updates.
