Goal Ranges for Steps, Distance, calories, and Active minutes

I would like to see the implementation of goal ranges for the following tracked activities: Steps, Distance, and Active Minutes.

In short of a specific number entered to achieve on a daily basis, the user would enter a "between" range.

For example. Right now someone may have  the goal of 10,000 steps a day, which they may not always achieve. By allowing this person to say, "I would like to walk between 8,000 and 10,000 steps". It would give them something to keep them motivated if they happen to fall short, but have walked enough to log 8200 steps. A "Yay! you did good!" but tomorrow you can do better moment. The implementation of a range would allow the user to feel some accomplishment and keep them motivated should they not be able to meet their stated goal.

Additionally this might encourage people to increase their goals as a way to challenge themselves.

Good idea, thanks for taking the time to share it with us. This could be useful as a motivator to look for improvement everyday. Keen to hear what others think?

Would love to be able to do this with active minutes also.

I like this idea, and Fitbit does something like this with calorie tracking!  You have a goal to be under your calories burned by so much (250, 500, 750, or 1000) and if you're on target within 50 cals the bar for that day in the graph is green.  If you're under by more than 50 cals it's blue, and if you're over your target by more than 50 cals it's red.

You could have a goal of 10,000 steps and if you're "approaching goal" you could get a "yellow light" kind of result.

Instead of setting the calorie goal as a number I would like it to be possible to create a goal range for calorie intake. For example, instead of having to set my calorie intake goal as 1650 calories in, I would like to be able to set it as 1600-1800 calories in.
