Gps tracking for walking

I have the charge 2 and it counts steps just as I move my arm no matter of what I change the settings. I know you can set your phone gps for running but not for walking. Why? It would make the steps so much more accurate. I woke up and had 40 steps on my watch ... from sleeping .. another 40 from getting dressed. That’s not real. If we could set our steps to sync with our phones gps and that would be way more accurate as we all carry our phones with us everywhere nowadays.

Please look into making the steps correct, currently have 340 and I haven’t done more than get breakfast downstairs and play games.

I have a charge 3 and when I select running from the exercise options on my watch face it then will track my route and give me lots of data from that, I would love to see the same data on a walk.  My watch will autorecognize my walks, which is great, but it doesn't let me select it from my watch face and then I think therefore it doesn't give me the same/similar data as a run or bike ride (such as speed and my path).  I would love to see walking (not just treadmill) as a face option and similar data to running or biking.

Depending on which tracker you have, you can get walking as an exercise choice, just like running.

There are many more exercise choices available. You just have to select which ones you want.

See How do I change or reorder the exercises in the Exercise app?
