Heart rate zones alert feature

Many fitness enthusiasts and individuals of whom base their workouts on target heart rate zones would really appreciate a heart rate alert feature implemented into the new Fitbit Ionic as well -if possible ALL Fitbit watches. This feature would allow a Fitbit user to manually set their Fitbit watch to alert the user once their targeted maximum and minimum heart rate has been achieved while performing a workout. Â The watch would vibrate on the user's wrist alerting the user when their selected heart rate has been accomplished or met allowing the user to more cater their workouts to stay within a selected threshold. Â Implementing this feature will also serve well as a safety feature which can alert the user when their calculated heartrate is dangerously high or above the maximum threshold that they set enabling the user to adjust their workout accordingly. Â Some Fitbit users I can imagine and many other individuals have cardiovascular/heart related issues which prevent them engaging in a workout that is too intense therefore a heart rate alert feature implemented into the new Fitbit Ionic would make the watch more marketable to the present customer base, a broader audience of fitness enthusiasts, and desirable to a whole new market of individuals of whom have cardiovascular/heart issues and will really appreciate a heartrate alert feature implemented into their fitness/activity trackers. Overall, implementing this feature will likely increase popularity of the watch, increase revenue, and appeal to a wider range of individuals that are taking steps to improve their health through daily workouts but are limited to what they can do due to cardiovascular/heart concerns. Â Implementing this feature can likely be as simple as have software engineering add it to a software/firmware update which will allow it to perform identical to the silent/vibrating alarm feature already included in most Fitbit watches anyhow.

Would be a very nice feature. I am quite a newcomer at running, and this would help me a lot.

Unfortunately, they will not be doing this until the next model.

Since my cardio doc has said that I should not let get my heart rate go above 150 when I exercise, it would be really helpful if I could get a Fitbit vibe telling me when I should slow down.

I have a son with autism. The heart rate alerts would be a valuable tool to alert him when he starts to get upset. There are several kickstart campaigns for similar devices. This feature would open up a whole new segment of customers for Fitbit considering how many people struggle with axiety.

I hope fitbit is listening. There are so many reasons to provide this option, if they don't somebody else will.

Would Love to see this for custom zones on the blaze. It's a struggle with working having to consistently check my heart rate on the app and on my fit bit. It would be wonderful if there was a vibration pattern that let me know if I go under or over the heart rate zone.

Maybe give an option for the fit bit zones and for the custom ones. The option to have this no matter what would be a huge help!

Would be great to be able to setup an alarm for sudden heart rate rise with no detected activity. Say you're at rest for a while and if your heart rate is above a certain level - send an alert

I would like to train Between certain heart rates. Would it be possible to get vibration alerts at certain heart rates during my exercises?

Hopefully found this thread before renewing the tracker. Currently have the Charge HR (1) and used to have the Force.

Need to keep the rate in correct zone and the pulse alarm the must must have for the tracker.

It would be so sad to lost my 4 years tracking history, but had to go.

Great idea - I've been looking to see if I could activate this and come to the conclusion I can't! I have a charge 2.

ran with my charge2 for the first time today.  Ran intervals of heart rates, running at 140, switching to fast walk at 175/180.  I had to keep checking my rate on the display to keep track.  Agreed with everyone, having an option to vibrate at those thresholds would be great.  My wife beside me had her garmin 310 on, which beeps with the heart rate sensor & thresholds.  Would love this feature on my charge2.

This is what I need!! My doctor told me to exercise at 100-115 bpm and it is not easy to keep it that low without looking on my Fitbit every 5 minutes. An alarm (beep or vibe will both do) would be a great help. (I even considered buying another activity tracker, since this feature is not included in Fitbit. )

Please Please Please put in an update with the ability to put an alarm if your heart goes above a certain rate - I keep getting these spikes and it is very scary - I can never check them as I feel fine and cannot spot any pattern - if the algorithm is buggy fine but give people the option to check it - right now all it does is cause alarm and consternation and make me want to change tracker - which I will do if this feature is not quickly forthcoming.

I just purchased the Charge 2 and noticed that when on the treadmill, I have to look at the watch to know if I am in my target zone.  I find it consuming and distracting to continually check my watch.  I would love if it had a vibration alert when I am too low or too high so that I can adjust my intensity accordingly.  My only option is to bring my phone and set it up in front of me on the treadmill so I can easily see it.

I have a heart condition which means I have to keep my heart rate below a certain threshold when exercising. The suggestion is to get an alarm that will alert whenever this threshold is crossed.
