Increase font size for Inspire family

Just bought a new Inspire HR through my health insurance company.  Haven't used a fitbit in years since my original flex.  Never thought about font size since it didn't exist back then.  Now this one has watch and so many apps.  The problem is without wearing reading glasses, I can't read anything.  Its completely useless and annoying because it is always beeping and vibrating and I have no clue why.  Most people over 45 wear readers to see close up, this doesn't work because they don't wear readers when exercising or walking or they would trip. This might get returned before the week ends.

On the Inspire HR, the heart rate bpm is virtually impossible to read while exercising, when my body and wrist are not still. I need to know my bpm while exercising so I can decide if I am working hard enough (or too hard). Please increase the bpm font size as large as possible, such as that used to display the digits of the analog clock. Don't worry about the beating heart icon. It is not particularly useful. Thanks.

I bought the Fitbit Inspire, I have had the Fitbit One for years.  I wish the font size was larger for all of the readings, not just the time.  Not sure I'm going to keep the Inspire because of the difficulty reading it.

Why do you waste your software engineers time with an update that added new silly animal clock faces which not many care about!  Why not heed lots of other people’s wishes that have been expressed since February to update the FONT SIZE and/or enable the ability to read screen in a horizontal manner just like it is on the Alta Series. After upgrading from the Alta this is a disappointment.  Please SERIOUSLY CONSIDER THIS CHANGE!

Hi @Jones914, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. This feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here. Don't forget to add your vote! I also noted that you mentioned a second idea. I ask you to post only one idea per feature. That way, we can keep the board organized and searchable. This makes it easier to know which idea other members are voting for. Here is the link for another existing feature suggestion regarding clock faces: Horizontal Inspire Clock Faces

The font is way too small for anyone who needs reading glasses - illegible! I am so incredibly annoyed especially after spending the last 30 minutes setting this up. Inspire has huge numbers for the time. If I wanted to know what time it is I would have bought a watch. I bought the Fitbit so I could see my steps, not the time. Grrrr....

Lots of messages about the design error in the Inspire. Large icons but small font size of info users want to see. How about a software option we customers pay for to take care of this obvious and frustrating design flaw. I’d pay $20 easy for the option.

The icon on the heartrate screen on the Inspire HR is okay, but the number at the bottom is way to small for reading in daylight or if you are a person who usually has readers.

If the icon were the same as what is shown on the bike exercise mode, it would be much more readable.  Nice big numbers.

Got my new inspire hr today.  I wish I'd known that I wouldnt be able to read the number of steps etc due to the tiny font size.  I think I'll have to return it unless anyone knows a workaround.  Wish I'd seen some comments on this before I bought it.

As Chandler Bing would say: Could the font BE any smaller? My Alta finally bit the dust (loved my Alta!). Since you don't make it anymore, decided to try Inspire HR, since I don't want a huge fitbit on my wrist. Well, it's nice looking and all and yes the time is HUGE but why on earth do you use a 2 font for the numbers? How is anyone supposed to look at their heart rate while outside running without getting hurt when trying to look at 2 font numbers? Change the software so you can read the numbers horizontally and get rid of the useless graphic/icon (or bring back the Alta!). I am SO sorry I bought this but I am now stuck with it!

Hello, I’m starting a new thread for this suggestion because the old one seems to be closed.  Question to the moderator: would you please explain why this improvement is not planned? When I search this topic it comes up in literally hundreds of posts across all of your products. The absence of this feature is making your products very difficult for anyone over 40 years old to use. I am basically forced not to purchase another Fitbit product unless this feature is introduced.

Hello please get this message in front of your management team. The fonts on multiple Fitbit products are too small for people who are 40+ years and need glasses to read--you seriously need to consider an update. This is an accessibility issue--you are excluding viable customers with have significant buying power. I repeatedly see posts from people saying they're  disappointed and returning their Fitbit products.

I've been reading throughout your Community help forums and this problem is raised so many times. And the moderators keep saying that an update is not planned and also give a bunch of platitudes about the community being passionate and creative, etc. which I guess is supposed to make us feel less disappointed that our Fitbits are semi-useless?

I invite you to pore through the posts in your forums where you'll see this issue arising repeatedly, with so many votes when you tally all of them across individual posts. Please get this on your priority list for upgrades as soon as possible.

Side point: You are losing customers with your too-complicated system of having separate forums for help and voting on new features--hardly anyone except for very persistent customers like me care to learn the systems you've set up to channel our feedback. We don't have the time to bother. People just want to be able to shoot you a message with their earnest feedback because they want to improve your product, and for it to be read, and to not have to return repeatedly. We have lots of things to get done and don't need the fuss.

Please respond.

Ugh, I can't read the step count without my glasses and sometimes I won't have my reading glasses with me so I'll have to go back to using my cell phone sometimes to see the step count.  I just upgraded to Inspire HR from the basic Flex 2 and I did it for the watch but also to have access to the exact step count on my wrist instead of the dots on the Flex 2.  Just disappointed. 😞

I would like a setting to increase the font size of the information values (heart rate, steps etc) in the Inspire HR.

This simply because I cannot see them due to the small font size currently being used.

If I want to see, for example, my pulse rate while moving...it's impossible.

Normally I don't need glasses, but if I want to know my pulse while moving I would need to get some or at least a magnifying glass. Both, to me, unnecessary while exercising (or trying to).

If I could have the possibility to increase the font size of the values this would be resolved.

A fixed number of choices should do the trick (1-5, smallest-largest).

As the font size gets bigger, the icon size becomes smaller, if necessary.

Move the description (bpm, bpm resting, mins etc) to a new line that scrolls if needed.

If I am honest, I'm amazed that you've made the decision to go with design over readability and useability.

People buy these devices to monitor key metrics like heart rate. They don’t buy them just to tell time. The ridiculously small font size for the metrics is just plain dumb. Had I known this I would never have wasted my money. The advertising shows a large clock face with easily readable numbers but nothing else is shown. One is led to assume that the other data will be shown similar to the clock. Wrong.

This and similar comments have been posted but nowhere is there any reasonable response from anyone at Fitbit. Fix it Fitbit!

The text with stats and text message notifications is too small to read for many people. There really needs to be an option to make it larger. Larger stats at least, maybe design a new clock face that has large step counter or heart rate? Like the Valerie face, but less clock more stats.

And for text messages, how about 90 degree rotation and scroll the message in large font, like in Alta?
