Integrate with Google Assistant

I would love it if my Fitbit could connect to my Google Assistant to help log items like food or water . Even if I'm home I'd love for Google to tell me it's time to move . I also would like the female health tracking to get a slight improvement. For instance , the app predicts the period , but if it's wrong I want to let it know and stop getting reminders that my period is almost done when in reality I'm not on my period. Check out my period calendar (the app with the flower on it and that's what the app is actually called) it allows the user to log that the prediction was incorrect then intuitively adjusts to predict actuals based on history.

Like others that commented I only have Google Home and  have made significant investment in my Google Home ecosystem.  While I have nothing against Alexa, I made the informed decision to go with Google a number of years ago and there is no turning back now.  I would be more like ly to change brands for the one device I have that is not compatible.  I would think that if Alphabet is serious about buying Fitbit... maybe Fitbit could get a head start on this integration that is inevitable???

Could a developer make an app that can view and interact with webpages? You could set the webpage on your phone by going into the app settings.

Hi @qbn, thanks for explaining why you would like to have this option. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". You can learn more about here. Keep adding your suggestions!

I'm adding my two cents on Google Home integration. Now that the sale has been announced, when can we expect an update on Google product integration? The last update was September of last year.

I'd love to see Google Assistant replace Alexa (or have the option to choose assistant)

Also need to have chromecast integration to cast workouts to the TV.

Thanks - and looking forward to an update soon as this request has been posted numerous times over the past year or so.

Stepping Up

Dear Fitbit,

I purchased a Fitbit charge 3 in November of 2019, & I absolutely love it, I even got the Aria 2 scale Although I was disappointed that NFC is only on Special Edition modles. At the time I was not even thinking about the Versa 2. I got the Versa 2 with NFC for my husbear for Christmas. the only thing that we don't like is Alexa. We are a total Google ecosystem. Everything we do is Google & I REALLY want a Versa 2, but I refuse to buy one if I have to use Alexa. You are owned by Alphabet Corp. that is limiting customers to the competition. It just doesn't make sense. Bezos is happy but as a early investor in Google I'm not. I refuse to buy a product that does not support the Google AI, especially when you are owned by the parent company. Samsung listend to me, and now my TV is compatible with Google home. I would like to see Alphabet Inc. force a Google AI roll out the assistant on the Versa 2 ASAP can you make that happen sooner rather than later? Inquiring-minds-want-to-know. I have money set aside to buy the Versa 2,but I refuse to do it as long as I'm forced into Amazon's arms.

Respectfully,

Phil Leggitt

PS. It would be nice if you would enable the NFC chip "Fitbit Pay" n all Charge 3's. The hardware is already there & it would be great in moving inventory not that it's not the "new kid on the block".

When will begin the Google support for all Fitbit products? Fitbit OS lacks apps so it would be better to add more apps.

Please please can Google Assistant work with Fitbit Charge 3. Like others have said why should we create an Amazon account and use "Alexa". I only wish to use Google and it would make life so much easier if this could be done ASAP.

Thanks

Katie

It's great that some Covid19 resources have been added for free, thank you! One more suggestion to enhance the experience would be the ability to cast the videos to Chromecast and to Google Speakers. How great it would be to leave my phone in another room, while listening to soothing bedtime sounds that are casted to my bedroom Google Speaker. It would also be great to watch the videos on my television while working out. If casting capabilities become available it would be great to consider the sounds ending since the goal of the bedroom sounds are to support falling asleep.

I would really like if Fibit and google assistant could work together so my google assistant e.g. can read out e.g. my sleep status as a part of my morning routine

At least add water to the IFTTT options, it is no different than the only option you currently support (add weight), it is just dictating a number.  But I would love to be able to log food as well, even if at first it only supported adding from our own frequently/recent/custom lists.  But one day it would be nice if it could attempt to log new things and make it easy to edit/correct later.  Logging food is a real pain.

🙌 This would be awesome & a total game changer for me!

I would like to have Google Assistant supported on the Versa 2 when it gets released for the Versa 3 and Sense.

As mentioned on the website, google assistant will not be available in europe from scratch for the fitbit SENSE. However, google assistant is really common (probably more than amazon alexa) and should be added right away. Moreover, ecg is an extremely important and helpful health feature and should also be added in europe, not only in the us.

That's great! Now will it get released on the Versa 2? It already has the hardware for it. I Think it would be a good idea to give it Google Assistant as well. I would use it daily.

Hello @LizzyFitbit ,

is there a specific release date (also for europe) as it's not marked as an initial feature fur sense?
