Integrate with iOS Health

Hi there,

I'm really excited about Apple's announcement of the Health App in iOS 8 to be release this fall.  I'm looking forward to seeing a product announcement by Fitbit for a successor to the recalled Fitbit Force, and I'm really hoping to hear some exciting news about Fitbits intigration with Apple's new Health App to be released alongside iOS 8 this fall.

This is a huge oportunity to make your devices even smarter and more integrated - Please support these APIs!  Thanks!

Come on FitBit theres quite a number of people asking for this feature now. I would love the data from my apple watch to sync with my FitBit app and so would thousands of other people who don't want to wear 2 devices, but need more functionality. I'm sure everyone is willing to pay for this feature. Staying quiet is not really best for customer relations is it?

I specifically would like to be able to see steps while wearing my apple watch on my fitbit dashboard….i wear the watch during the day at work and my fitbit on weekends and for exercise. Right now using the sync apps, the steps come through as exercise, not as actual steps….

Thats the thing on top of my wish list when i ask for integration...

It's interesting now that Fitbit has forced me to use an Apple Watch and my trusty surge. It seems my surge isn't so trusty. I noticed a massive discrepancy in the step counts on the two devices and earlier today when I was sat on the sofa and scratching my head, whilst examining my Fitbit stats I noticed my steps increasing. Not from stepping but from scratching my head !  I then decided to test my Apple Watch. No such miscalculation was recorded.   Brush my teeth, that's 500 steps, scratch my head that's another 20 etc etc. What is the use in a device that doesn't accurately record the most basic element of what it is supposed to report? I now feel let down by Fitbit in more ways I can possibly describe. But then again, thanks Fitbit. Without your lack of forethought and openness I'd never have purchased another product or discovered your blatant lies and misleading claims!

I am actually looking foreward for the apple health kit integration with fitbit app. 3rd party apps do sync, but not the heart rate and other inportant items.

I love all of the different Fibit products I have owned over the years and I also love my Apple Watch-- I use them in different scenarios as they meet my different needs-- please make some sort of integration where health data from Apple can be synced to FitBit or at least allow third party developers to do it for you.

@kingzabez,

I know you are looking foreword to it, but it might never come.

Fitbit's last official stance on this is over 2 years old - and it was that they have no plans to integrate.

I suggest pinging them on Twitter about this and make this request public for everyone to see. Like HopefulRunner said, it's been 2 years, nothing is going to happen in this thread.

Your stock has gone from 53 to 8 dollars. Perhaps not supporting apple health was a bad idea. And now you're buying Pebble which is also a bad idea. Sometimes you just have to wonder.

I totally am for integration with Apple's Health app.  All my other activity trackers did and I switched from them to the Charge  2.  I am also looking to get the Fitbit Aria so having everything sync just in case an app goes down would be nice

I would absolutely love it if my fitbit (charge 2) would link to the Apple Healthkit. Please add this feature!

Please allow the Fitbit products (aria) to communicate with Apple Health & the Apple Watch!  I love the scale and have spent a lot of money on the product. Please allow it to communicate wit Apple products!!

Would love fitbit to integrate and share information with Apple's Health app, maybe it's time you guys seriously consider since you're so big in this market with continuous upgrades to your products.  As more people own fitbits that can integrate to their phone's Health App, less people will need the apple watch so I don't see why you don't do it!

Not integrating with Apple health is bad business decision.

I am new to Fitbit, recently purchasing the Charge 2. I am pleased with most features except for the fact that it doesn't sync with my iPhone's Health app. This is very disappointing. Especially because my Leaf and Up3 both did. I decided on "upgrading" to Fitbit thinking it was the one with all the best features. My migraine tracking app uses Health data which Is lacking because of Fitbit now. I hope Fitbit will add this feature. And soon. (Before my return period is over at the store, preferably...).

Fitbit IS the best device out there, in my opinion.  I wish it added Bowflex Tread Climber's to its stable, but I'd also really like it to be part of my iPhone connection - I use these stats in many ways, including discounts with my health care, so currently I track them in other ways, but it would be much simpler if my iPhone could do that automatically since I am using that app primarily with Fitbit, having begun with a Charge HR and currently using Charge 2 - which I like quite a lot, but not so much the new charging system, that is too tricky, the older system easier, but the Charge 2 does everything else better, so there's that.  Would definitely like it on my iPhone where I have other apps that do connect to Health.  Using iPhone 7 and iOS 10.1.1
