Integrate with iOS Health

Hi there,

I'm really excited about Apple's announcement of the Health App in iOS 8 to be release this fall.  I'm looking forward to seeing a product announcement by Fitbit for a successor to the recalled Fitbit Force, and I'm really hoping to hear some exciting news about Fitbits intigration with Apple's new Health App to be released alongside iOS 8 this fall.  

This is a huge oportunity to make your devices even smarter and more integrated - Please support these APIs!  Thanks!

I have had my apple watch from the beginning. I also have (2) Fitbits. I love wearing my apple watch and Fitbits but would really like the option of having my daily steps from the watch transfer to my Fitbit account including the 7 day total with friends. I understand if Fitbit does not want us competing in the challenges together but the 7 day total is what we use to motivate ourselves on a daily basis. I wear the Apple Watch everyday and right not I am wearing a Fitbit on the other wrist which is silly. I love both the Fitbit and Apple Watch and am hoping there will be a way to update our Dashboards with this. Even if it is by using the Health App. Please Fitbit!!!!!!!!

After my Withings Pulse finally stopped working, I was gifted a FitBit. I have to say I am seriously disappointed in the lack of integration with Apple Health, so hopefully there are other features that will make this tracker worth keeping.

I hope this is not a lost cause--three years is a long time to wait for something as fundamental as implementing an API for integrating with system-provided services. In the hope that the cause is not completely lost, I will add my desire to see fitbit support integration with the ios health app.

Just purchased my first Fitbit only to discover there's no HealthKit integration. 

I'm returning it. HealthKit was introduced 3 years ago. I'm not interested in having health data in several different places. It just doesn't work for me if it doesn't integrate with my other devices.

Please add the integration with Apple health. Love my Alta HR but I’m going to return it because of lack of compatibility. Going to look into other options, looks like I’m going to dive deeper into apple’s ecosystem

I really would like to have my Fitbit data synced with Apple Health. I’ve just bought Charge 2 and I thought there was integration between them. Maybe I’ll look forward to buy an Apple Watch in the next months...

I can't believe FitBit won't allow for syncing of our OWN data! Other fitness trackers do it. And I use my Health App to sync with my Insurance App which gives me monetary benefits whenever I meet my fitness goals as measured by my the iOS Health App.

This was requested in 2014 and has more votes than any other feature requests I can find at this time. At least someone should respond why this is not being implemented or are you waiting for everyone to move over to Apple watch?

My UP band just broke and my kids bought me a Fitbit as a surprise. I’m about ready to return it because it doesn’t let you sync with the heath toolkit. It’s ridiculous that this has been requested by so many people for years and it still isn’t implemented. Guess I will have to get an Apple Watch.

I was also unpleasantly surprised to find out, that there is no Apple Heath integration. Neither Fitbit sees data from Health App (for weight, BMI, etc.), nor sends it's data to Health for other apps to use. 

No surprise that other developers sell apps for synching Fitbit with Apple health. But can they be trusted? I would prefer to have a native integration.

Just got my new Charge 2 and am STUNNED that I can’t sync my data with the Apple Health app on my iPhone! So the iPhone is good enough for you to use it’s GPS capabilities so that you can exclude an onboard GPS from YOUR device, but you refuse to allow me to decide what to do with my data, including syncing it into the app on my phone? An ability that has been asked for for over three years I see? How absurd and shortsighted. Unsure if I am even going to keep the device now. Incredible.
