Integration with Ring App

Apparently Fitbit has stopped support for notifications from the ring doorbell app late 2019. I just got confirmation of this by calling both Fitbit and Ring and both stated that Fitbit stopped the support for all the updated ring app since Nov 2019. Fitbit needs to restore this support/ partnership for the sake of customers using both devices.
This is needed because:
Millions of customers own Fitbit watches and Ring Devices. For years notifications from ring devices showed on Fitbit watches until about Oct 2019 when it stopped. This support/partnership need to be resumed for the benefit of the customers that own both devices. There is no logical reason for terminating this partnership.

Thanks for sharing this suggestion. Our web API and smartwatch SDK are open which means that the service you are wanting can actually integrate with Fitbit. We’d encourage you to make this suggestion to the service and direct them to our existing API and SDK and resources such as the web dev API community. You will likely be able to email them via their contact us page or customer support, or they may have their own ideas board like this. Or encourage them to reach out to Fitbit directly. Currently the Fitbit app on Android lets you select the "Ring" app as one of the apps to get notification from on your watch. This feature seems to work for certain notifications, for example if you change the mode from "Home" to "Disarmed", but motion and ring notifications are not sent for some reason.

Hi @John-21  -  are the notifications that don't appear on the watch, actually appearing on the phone as notifications?

Hi @John-21, thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion about having the option to connect with Ring app. This feature suggestion already exists, so I’ve moved your post here. While we don’t currently have plans to release this feature, we always appreciate the passion and creativity that comes out of this Community. Since we know this idea is important to many of you, we have left voting open to continue tracking interest and will post another update if anything changes.
