Macronutrients on app

It would be really beneficial to be able to see macronutrients when logging your food in the app. For instance, in the app My Fitness Pal, you can see the grams of sugar, carbs, fiber, etc. when you log your food, rather than just the amount of calories. I personally would rather track based on suggestions for macronutrients than strictly calories considering not all calories should be treated equally.

This would be super helpful!

The Food tab on the Web site app includes a 'Logged Foods' section. This shows a running total of calories, fat, carbs, etc in a table format.

e.g.

----

Logged Foods

FoodAmount
Cals  Fat  Fiber  Carbs  Sodium  Prot   Fav

This would be very useful to have on the mobile apps.  For me being a diabetic, it would be great to see my carbs intake on the fitbit app.

 Thanks much.

I just bought my fitbit and I cannot believe as modern technology as Fitbit that you cannot see your fat, carbs, sodium, etc. on the mobile app ... that stinks, my friend has a JAW UP and she can see everything from her phone

It would be nice if the recommended daily allowances were listed along with your own daily amounts in the food log.  For instance, where it lists your total protein intake for the day - have the recommended amount right above it so you know if you are getting enough each day.

I would like to see more features on the food section. It awesome that you can take a picture of the barcode but, why only calories?! It would be nice to see the app record individual category like protein, fat, caleries, trans fat, etc... That way you can have a "bigger picture." Thanks

Hard to believe this feature isn't already available. My Fitness Pal does a great job with it, but I don't want to use two services. 😞

The ability to see macronutrients on the app has already been implemented. You can get more information about it in the help site.

Thanks for posting on the Forums!

At my doctor's office they want to see this information.  It's not available on the app only the website.  Seeing how many grams of protein I take in a day is important.

Right now, you can not see your daily macronutrient like you can in MyFitnessPal. You have to go to the Fitbit website to see it. You should be able to see macronutrients in the app.
