Maintain Fitbit web dashboard going forward

As an older user, my eyesight and hand eye coordination are poor. So, I prefer the website dashboard on my PC. That dashboard keeps directing us to the mobile app. Please assure you will continue maintaining both as I cannot rely solely on the mobile app. Please consider all of your customers when providing tools. Many thanks!

Was not a fan of the redesign of the app or dashboard a while back. And now removing the Web Dashboard and changing the data extracts and other features data features has drastically deceased the value of your product. As a long time a customer, the user experience and satisfaction has dropped to a 2 out of 10. Removing the visualization and changing the data element behind the dashboard defeats the usefulness of the data of this tool and is not what I paid for.  Very disappointing and a big step back in the effectiveness and usefulness of the product.  The first time in seven-years of using the product, I have started considering another product and dropping my premium membership. This is a data driven product and without the proper support tools the value of this product is suffering.

Barker1 me too.

I had a Garmin device years ago on a clip. When I lost it I replaced it with Fitbit. I went back to Garmin when this started and all my history was still there, on the web page. Google has the money to buy just about any tech company but hopefully this GPS company in Olathe, KS isn't on their radar. Google doesn't really have an interest in selling products nor do they have a genuine interest in anyone's well being. They're only interested in collecting data. Your fitness routines, your sleep routines, etc.are all just data points tied to an identity that they will use and sell.

MFP is sooo much better than the Google portal which I do not miss. MFP has native web, tablet and phone apps

I started my transition and before the end of the year I will switch to Apple or Garmin

Please bring back the Chrome Web Based Dashboard. This is such a backward move. Not everybody wants to use smartphone all day. Terrible idea to take it away.

Definitely looking around for alternative solutions to fit bit now. Its gone downhill. It was user friendly and helpful previously.

@Barker1 - I wish they would just put the web dashboard back or comment on this thread and say it will never happen so we can decided whether or not to continue to support fitbit. I HATE THE APP!!!

@Barker1

Your post sounds like it was totally on topic. We are all reacting to losing the web dashboard and need alternatives, since the Google app is useless.

I am using MyFitnessPal and love it. It syncs with my Fitbit and allows you to create custom meals as well as enter multiple items from your 'Frequent' list at once, a real timesaver. However, once my FItbit dies I'll never buy another. Google have lost all my trust once and for all.

Totally agree. It has changed from a product I used to love to one not much better than a watch. I definitely will not recommend or buy another unless this is resolved. I guess customer service just doesn't matter. I have seen so many posts related to this concern, but I doubt the company even reviews them. I just changed to DuckDuckgo because of this and other google changes in the past that are always unbeneficial to the consumer (such as the replacement of Picasa with the MUCH inferior Google photos. Lots of complaints then too, but of course, Google is so large it doesn't need to worry about customer service.

I tried to view the last post and got an access denied message. All I've asked for is to have the dashboard back.

They're getting tired of hearing everyone ask for it back. They flat don't
care. That's why google bought out FitBit so that they could destroy it and
force their product on people.

Need the website back!!  I can no longer create custom meals which is very much needed to help keep my diet.  If Fitbit can’t support my dietary tracking I will be forced to leave a product I’ve been very loyal to and explore other options.

Please enable back the web based dashboard. The mobile browser app is my go-to app for most things. I was happy using the chrome mobile app to login fitbit. Please dont make us download a mobile app for every single thing. Thanks.

Bring back the web-based dashboard. The phone app alone does not have the flexibility the web-based one did. It is difficult to see and the graphs are useless to me. Fitbit is supposed to motivate people to maintain their health, and losing the application on the web is extremely demotivating for me.

Viewing my total lifetime steps was my major motivation for using Fitbit. I would like to see the old browser based dashboard restored. The new phone app is long on flash and short on substance. Without the lifetime steps and lifetime weight graphs, there is simply no reason for me to continue using Fitbit. Fitbit has been googled, i.e. ruined.

Leave it to Google to ruin a good thing. I cannot fathom the logic behind eliminating the Dashboard. The apps functionality is limited, and the interface it clunky. I wouldn't even attempt to log calories on it. Feh! If they don't reverse this decision, I'll be looking for another device with better customer service.

1000 times THIS!  Forcing users to the app is, at BEST, tone deaf. I prefer computers because I can SEE the screen (I'm over 50, as are many of your users -- FIGURE IT OUT!). I used the app while traveling this past week, and guess what?  It stinks.  Bring back the webpage and fire the ignoramus who made this decision.  Option D* --   Apple Watch, here I come.  What a lousy way to treat your customers.

*Oh, cute -- you autocorrected what I wrote to be an emoji.  Figure it out.  Not all of your users are young phone jockeys, m-o-r-o-n-s.

Absolutely crazy they would discontinue the web based dashboard, how backwards can you get!! 🙄😫

Google please restore the website app. I can't use the phone with ease. I might have to ask a friend if the Android development kit on a PC could be a solution that could meet my needs. Do remember that there are UK laws for UI requirements for the disabled.

I have been with Fitbit since 2010.  Losing the Dashboard meant losing my history and other features the phone app does not have. Plus unless you have eyes of an eagle - it is hard to read on the phone - and no way to export data easily. Please bring the Dashboard back!!

Yes, it is unfortunate that we have lost the ability to manage our health using a computer and are forced to use a phone app instead. I am disappointed that my "activity" details are reduced greatly. This often happens when a company with a good idea is swallowed up by a bigger fish... in this case Google. I doubt if we will ever get that functionality back... sad but true!

Agree, please don't tell me "It's all for the better" and "we are giving you a better way" it's not better in any way by taking away the dashboard. I want to see all my data on a large screen in front of me!
