Maintain Fitbit web dashboard going forward

As an older user, my eyesight and hand eye coordination are poor. So, I prefer the website dashboard on my PC. That dashboard keeps directing us to the mobile app. Please assure you will continue maintaining both as I cannot rely solely on the mobile app. Please consider all of your customers when providing tools. Many thanks!

I don't plan to feed the Apple beast. I just want the desktop dashboard
back!

I also prefer to use the Desktop version of the tracking app because I can get more granular data about my steps, HR, sleep, etc... . I can add and edit foods, group meals, repeat too. Mostly, I use it because I prefer to use a computer for the amount of stuff I'm inputting rather than a phone. You don't even have an iPad sized version of the app. I can't honestly believe that the numbers of desktop users is so low that it justifies turning off your web dashboard.
Well since my Fitbit is getting pretty old, maybe I'll just upgrade to someone else's product that has a better dashboard. Downloading all my data now...

Yes with all of you about the website.

FitBit, Do not remove the dashboard from a website! That is where I edit custom foods and make custom meals. Both a huge time savers and allow me to be more accurate.

Agree with all why do this the web was the major way i logged foods and also had many meals added so when i had that meal i didnt have to search for each item individually to add it and doing this on the app totally sucks time to find something else Goodbye google and fitbit

Taking away the dashboard also means active minutes are gone.  Active minutes were superior to active zone minutes because they gave a better picture into exercise.  Often my activities would not earn any zone minutes but would usually have active minutes.  I pretty much have to run to get any zone minutes.  It is demoralizing to be told you exercised but it doesn't count for anything.  The online browser dashboard was more complete.  Saying the app has all features is patently false.  What fitbit should do is make active minutes another feature of the app.  I suggested this before when fitbit went to zone minutes and it never happened.  If active minutes are gone for good I'm getting an apple watch.

Hey, moderator --

"Watch this space for status updates. In the meantime, try visiting Health & Wellness to talk with other members about all things health and fitness."

This isn't winning you any friends.   We want the problem fixed, not "status updates" in the indefinite future.   And talking "about all things health and fitness" is not even vaguely a substitute for having access to the personal data you're hiding from us by shutting down the browser access.

This just shows how little the care about the community and their customer. Really disgusting. We arent even asking for upgrades. Just keep it the same.

As a vision impaired person, I need the Fitbit dashboard on a pc not a cell phone.  I just discovered it went away today. I have been a loyal Fitbit user for 10 years and now it is no longer a product that I find useful.  You have just alienated a large portion of your customers by this decision.

The app version does not show a last 28 day average or step counts in 15 minute increments.  Both options were available on the web based version.   The 15 minute increments were handy for tracking walks.  Also for times when the battery dies, it is easier to figure out what I need to manually enter.

Guess I will be looking for a replacement product.

The dashboard online was much more complete.  I used to use it to keep track of active minutes and where I went hiking.  The exercise data was much more complete and loaded better.  Often I can't get old exercise data to load or it takes forever to go back in my history in the app.  Getting rid of the dashboard was clearly a business decision that was best for google but not its users.  I too was a loyal Fitbit user for more than 10 years and it seems like the end of an era to me too.

I have been tracking my sleep for several years. For some reason, on some nights, the initial graphs fail to show the whole night, but on the browser dashboard, I can manually force it to use data is already has but isn't showing to make one graph for the whole night. Now that that ability is gone, my Fitbit is almost worthless to me.

Taking away the online dashboard was the stupidest thing Fitbit could have done. I hate using my phone, especially for things like this. Entering meals is especially impossible.

Need a new device that will link to website. Ready to make a switch. Any suggestions would be helpful.

The Web UI for the dashboard has been discontinued. This is a major inconvenience as I regularly entered data daily and have a long history of data. Now there is reduced convenience and functionality.

Do your research. Garmin and Apple look good. Some of the cheap brands are Chinese companies.

Please bring back the PC web dashboard.    I need full size monitor and keyboard.   Loyal fitbit user over ten years.

Losing the dashboard on pc is the just spiteful. There is no reason to do it, no benefit to those who already use the phone app, nothing but problems for those of us who find phone apps nasty, pissy little things too awkward to bother with. I will find another health watch, which may or may not have a pc dashboard, but at least I will know that going in. With fitbit, since you had a pc dashboard already, and have zero reason to close it down, I see no reason to maintain my years of loyalty.

Like many of the other comments I really want you to bring back the desktop application.
The phone app just does not give the same level of detail. I am sure that there are some accountants that have determined the risk / reward of not supporting the desk top and the vote is to reduce cost. Add me to the lost customer list.

lol. Fitbit have never had any idea of customer service.

I dumped them years ago for my main fitness activity eg running logs etc.

I only came back a few months ago cause I thought I would use my Fitbit Charge during a rehab program.

but now the website has gone it is pretty useless for that - as others have said no granularity on lots of measurements.

I need a keyboard to type!!!!!!! Never cculd do the finger thing. 76 years old!!!!!!!!  Greed is the only reason they are doing this, it is our fault for letting Google get so big that they can do what ever they want!!!!!

I've been using fitbit since 2018 and used the web interface several times a day. They have cruelly removed it. Fitbit is the only product I use that has has consistently gotten worse over time. It has to be intentional. There is no way they are doing this to make it "better".

As soon as this watch wears out (and it will, they always do) I am going to get a Garmin.

Fitbit can fix this but. It's on them. It's their fault, over and over and over again.

I hate the fact that I can no longer sync my fit bit to my computer.  I hate the fact that you must have a smart phone to use it and from the comments I have read, that is not working that great.  I do not want a smart phone.  The only things I care about syncing are steps, miles, and weight.  I would not even care if I had to log them in manually.  I will keep this fit bit until it dies, but after that, I will choose a simple pedometer and do it manually anyway.  I have love this product and am extremely disappointed in the decision to move away from the computer connectivity.

For the past 6 months I have been using both my Fitbit Charge and a smart-ring, both having a useful website to access my data. Now that the Fitbit dashboard is gone, my Charge is nothing but a wrist based alarm clock.

@pwrfit  said, "I can't even believe Fitbit would do this!"  Apparently you didn't notice that Fitbit was ingested by Alpha, parent company of Google, in 2021. It's probably not a coincidence that that's when many of the fun things about using the product began disappearing. Just another example of Google ignoring their vaunted "don't be evil" motto...

App is a very poor substitute for the dashboard and definately not a like for like replacement. No longer a sliding scale on the activity and the app is so small that the activity (in my case a swim) does not give an accurate picture of my consistency across the swim. Other features lost as well as detailed by other people commenting.

baglady1208

Actually editing my previous comment - just looking now the graph of my swim has entirely vanished - not even a small unusable graph so now renders the data pretty useless. Will now invest in holoswim instead of upgrading my fitbit as planned.
