Make Heart Rate Data export in Excel/CSV format

Please add the heart rate data to the reports that can be downloaded/exported.  The ones for the activity and sleep are perfect but since I have a pacemaker I really need to have one to print out for my cardiologist showing how often I rise above the set pace.

Thank you

I would like this as I got the Charge HR to monitor his heart (A-Fib) and he would like to bring a print out to his doctor appointments.

Agreed. I've got a ChargeHR and lack of access to granular data (heart rate in particular) is the sole thing with which I am not completely happy. Such a feature would be ideal.

It's great that we're getting some likes and comments indicating that I'm not alone in wanting this feature.  I'm not sure how frequently heart rate data is collected but I'm assuming it's something like every 5 seconds.  This data may have to be summarized some prior to upload from the tracker to FitBit so that sync times don't get crazy.  But, once FitBit has the data they could give the user options for what additional levels of summarization or analysis they could download to their PC.

I would like to add my voice. It's very strange that Fitbit do not make this available. There's been no explanation that I have seen.

Another voice here... Want to buy one too, but not able to use it as HR monitor with sport apps, or export detailed HR data holds me back. There might be a better option from Garmin

Is there any progress update for the a more detailed view in the app?

The dashboard view of data is quite good but here are a few suggestions from a user experience perspective, if they are taken into account:

  • In the dashboard, allow to select range where HR data is shown in a line. Day/Week/Month would be enough. This would help to understand your overall exercise and stress trends
  • People sync fitbits irregularly so, it would be great if the data would merge into days and not 2 reports for 1 day in the logged activities. It's just confusing. http://prntscr.com/9nhv9u
  • In the dashboard, allow a detailed view of  the selected period (a link to the logged data?)
  • In the app, allow showing HR data day/week/month mode because It's not THAT useful to me, to see it day by day.

Ya and what an attitude.   Not a peep or explanation.   As soon as I see something come out of CES I can jump to I'm gone....

+1

I too would like to get ALL my data, if wanted.

This would be a reason more to stay with fitbit.

If then proactive recommendations based on collective data would be added.. even better.

So i am looking around for a service that would add availability of ALL my data for my personal offline use too.

cheers -Alexander

I think the heart rate data is really important and that it would be really great to be able to export it. The same with exercise sessions, it would be really nice to see the specific data from our sessions. Let's keep voting for this so Fitbit may implement this in the nearest future.

After talking with a senior developer who is working on smart watch infrastructural issues like battery life, bluetooth communications, and data downloading; it seems like downloading heart rate and exercise session data may be a little too much for daytime auto-syncing.  However, adding some conditions like either having the tracker plugged in (so charging) or delaying data downloads to when you are sleeping would address some of the obvious concerns.  I believe that most of us would be willing to accept some conditions in exchange for gaining access to this data - if that's what was necessary.

CHARGE HR and Data Export

I bought the Charge HR to monitor, track and record my heart rate throughout the day, unfortunatly I am disappointed that I can not export my data or even read the daily breakdown. This was an expensive purchase for somethinng that does not live up to the hype.

Please make it possible and free of charge

A) to export raw HR Data

B) easier to read the raw heart rate data.(bar chart with data)

C)IMake reading the current chart easier to read

D)Allow printer friendly printing for all areas monitored

I purchased the Fitbit charge HR specifically to be able to monitor heart rate 24/7 now I find that it is not possible to download this data.  This is really deceptive marketing.  Come on make this data available.  Moderators you need to respond to this as I am one of many.  Will check warranty and take the unit back if possible as without the ability to download the data it is not FIT for PURPOSE.

As one of the original members (I am not a moderator) of this particular
complaint "not being able to export Heart Rate data", I get each response,
including yours. It seems your statement is BOGUS, considering you said you
cannot access, download, or export the time related Heart Rate data from the
Charge HR. Therefore there is no way you or your Doctor could attempt to
correlate data between the Charge HR and the implanted monitor in your
chest.

It is true a "Class Action Suit" regarding the accuracy of the Heart Rate
data, but I scoff at it a bit. Given the people who are bringing the suit
cannot access or download the data, I do not know how they show it to be
inaccurate. I have looked at accuracy relative to other measurement devices
I have access to (blood pressure monitor, doctors office measurement, heart
rate measurements on exercise machines. etc) and all have been within a
couple beats.

The only inaccuracy I have seen was on a "Life Cycle". I think this was due
my hand/ChargeHR was on the Life Cycle handles at heart level. I believe the
monitor aspect of the ChargeHR needs adequate blood pressure in the wrist of
your arm to make a good measurement. I am not an expert, but think that the
pressure developed in your arm at heart level is lower than when the arms
are hanging or lower than heart level. On every other exercise machine where
my hands were below my heart, the heart rate measured on the ChargeHR
matched that of the machine.

I can completely agree that it is marketed as a heart rate monitor and don’t understand why this information can not be accessed via export. To me it just seems like common sense. This is an expensive item to start but becomes a very expensive watch without the HR downloads

Mr. Wedgerly:

My "BOGUS" assertion is based upon:

MANUALLY, keeping track of my CHARGE HR heart rate data.  Ranges, max., min., etc.  In my particular case (I don't care about yours), the Fitbit indicated I was going in and out of atrial fibrillation based upon jumps in heart rate of 30 or more, for an hour or more.  Which is typical of paroxysmal (intermittent) afib which was my original diagnosis.  I never expected an LED technology on my wrist to be that accurate for the actual heart rate.  BUt it should accurate capture trends in my heart rate over time WHICH IS WHAT I WANT.

I just had all of my Medtronic data downloaded and analyzed by my Doctor yesterday.  I am no longer in paroxysmal afib.  I am now in permanent afib (a typical disease progression).  My Fitbit indicates significant (30+) changes in heart rate for no known reason (activity, etc.) that lasts for hours.  The Medtronic data did NOT indicate that.

I do have fun with the Fitbit's info that allows me to "compete" with my family in activities and exercises.  But the extra money paid for heart information that I can't download and is not accurate (for me) makes this device pretty useless.  In spite of your assertions.

Mr. Wedgerly:

BTW, I can access the heart rate graph for each day - until midnight, at least.  When you hover your cursor over the graph, you get actual readings.  So, even though I cannot download or export the Fitbit HR data, I can access it - temporarily.  Can't you?

Hi

I can see the chart on the dashboard but the clusters are too tight and too small to read. I got this monitor to pin point changes as they happen and was expecting to export daily data showing a full 24 hour breakdown of my daily HR. Just very disappointed with product.

Agree, I got premium and now I feel cheated! I want to download HR data - its in the fitbit data account, why can't I have it too! Better analysis too, I want a weekly analysis of what time of day I vurn the most calories and food intake. More sophistication please!

I'm a Charge HR owner (24 hours now) and one of the first things I wanted to do was export my granual HR data. Turns out it's one of the most popular requests for a while and the developers aren't allowed to implement it? Hm, I'm thinking I made a mistake, and it's time to return this thing to REI. Your marketing materials read "You own your data." Looks like Fitbit owns it, and is just giving me visitation rights. Please allow the developers to implement this feature!

hi

I completely agree with you, its very disappointing.

I can view the Resting Heart Rate that way, but not the intraday
measurements. The website application only shows Resting HR. In the PC
application you can read the daily Resting HR directly for each day listed
and you can view the intraday HR measurements. However, you cannot (at least
I cannot) access the intraday measurement values at all.

Can you please add the heart rate data the Fitbit Charge HR records to the download file, where activity, sleep etc are already available. In doing so, can you please also make historic heart rate data available?

I have an arrythmia, and would love to know what my heart rate is doing throughout the day...perhaps a graph similar to the heartrate graph during exercise, but representing heart rate throughout the day.
