Fire the team that came up with the update. I need the old sleep back for medical reasons. I would also like to receive txt and phone alerts. My husband is disabled and I need to be aware of a call or txt from him while I'm at work.
I completely agree with all the comments about giving a review in the App Store and other places. However, I've now submitted 3 one-star reviews to the App Store, and none of them have been published. I don't know what to do to get them to actually show up under the reviews in the App Store. Nothing I'm saying is any different or more negative than any of the other reviews.
I agree!!!! I am very disappointed with getting graded on my sleep!!!! I have always had problems getting enough, now I feel like I am "failing" at sleeping. I do not need to be "judged" by Fitbit!!! One of the things I have LIKED about Fitbit is that it is FACT based. This is AWFUL!!!! Please have this be an OPTION!!!!! I just want to know how much sleep I am getting over a week not my "GRADE" . . . I completely disagree with this approach! I have had my Fitbit for over four years and this is the first time I am posting, because I HATE this feature. Give me my FACT BASED hours (or lack thereof) sleep . . . not your "grade" and "opinion" of my sleep!!!! THIS FEATURE IS AWFUL!!!
I have severe narcolepsy. In order to keep track for legal purposes the old app was much better than this garbage. Even my Dr was like what in the world. How would this help anyone track quality of sleep.
Hi @Natasha63, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback about having the sleep score information as optional, this feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here as it is currently under "Reviewed by moderator" status. This helps maintain the Community and the Feature Suggestion board more organized.
I'm sorry but I believe you removed because you guys don't like all the negative things we all have to say. More of us are dissatisfied than happy with no hope being given.
My sense is that not only do users want the useless sleep score to be optional, but we would like you to bring back the weekly average feature, which has been very useful to many of us.
Eastonworks The reviews in the App Store have different viewing selections . The default is by “most helpful”. You will need to switch the viewing to “most recent” to find yours. If you go back to the App Store and once you are on the Fitbit app there, click show all for reviews and then look around for the option to change how they’re sorted.
Multiply each of those numbers by 10 to 20 times and you will get a better estimate of how many people, that is Fitbit users and customers, are truly annoyed with these changes. Research estimates say that only one in 10 to 1 and 20 people take the time to complain about something that irks them. So think about it - your suggested 4000 posts equate to as many as 80,000 frustrated customers. Hopefully a great proportion of at least look at this thread to realize they too could weigh in on this topic. Perhaps it will help the powers to be to make a decision on sleep score and giving users an option as to what dashboard they wish to use on their phones. The old dashboard continues to be my preference.
The bottom line for me is that the sleep score is useless for me. There are those who like it, then they should have it. It should be optional. I fully resent that the sleep score was added in a manner that it became dominant. The new app is full of flaws and Fitbit has no idea what to do, so it is digging in its heels. They are making it difficult for people to find, this post in particular, so that the responses and votes are scattered. Changing the title of this post helps to increase confusion and further shows how little Fitbit gets it. I had a relationship with Fitbit which they have now tossed. As a consumer, when I purchased my Fitbit and installed their app on my phone, Fitbit and I entered a contract, which they have now violated. Fitbit does not care, so they will not miss me when I am gone.
Your team keeps changing the title to this forum, and it’s inaccurate and frustrating. Please change to: “Make sleep score optional (on/off option) AND return weekly sleep average data in app”
Those are the issues at-hand. We are talking about both topics. It’s unprofessional and manipulative for moderators to continue to change to arbitrary or misleading titles.
I have flagged this post to have the title renamed back to the original. I honestly can't tell if Fitbit is playing games at this point or simply can't get out of their own way.
I agree, I absolutely hate the new sleep score. I just want to see an average weekly. I use to love the Fitbit and it helped me lose weight (125 pounds) and sleep better. I now dislike the sleep portion of the app.
They don't want us telling the problems we are having. I got an email saying they deleted the original one because all questions had been answered. Lol.
When is FitBit going to reply to or address our concerns? No one seems to care that people absolutely hate the new Sleep Score. Even if it was free to look at Sleep score details, I still wouldn’t want it.
How many posts do we need to make before someone replies?
Hi @Ft386 the Moderators can and will move posts as needed. They abide by the guidelines in the Terms of Service. More than likely, they will put this post into the same thread you just referenced, since it's the same thing. What's wrong with the title "Let us having the sleep score as optional" ?
The "sleep score" is completely worthless and provides no data unless you pay for it. I appreciated seeing the number of hours I slept, but this new manipulative ploy to get more money only means I will not recommend Fitbit to others.
Totally agree. It is a de-motivator, and I won't buy another Fitbit if their policy is to impose manipulative new things created only to make money through a "premium" package. Pretty soon they won't tell us how many steps we took but just give us a score on the "quality" of our steps.
Please bring back the weekly average sleep time. The score would be nice in addition to this. NOT TO REPLACE IT!
i purchased my latest Fitbit for the extra sleep info, Rem, Deep, Light sleep and often look back at my weekly average sleep to see what changes have worked and what works better.
I feel like Ive been robbed! Under average weekly sleep is no 0’s for every week.
PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!! Or I’m switching to a new device
I agree with everyone here. On top of the fact my Inspire doesnt even have the tech for this sleep score stuff there's not even an option anywhere for me to revert it back to the weekly hours slept. Very, very irritating considering my personal challenge was to do my best to raise my weekly hours. Please, at the very least, give us the option to not see the sleep score if we dont want to. And further, don't even implement it if a device doesnt have the tech to support it.

I completely agree, there needs to be an option to turn off this sleep score at least--seeing how long I slept and the % REM and deep sleep is useful and tracks with how refreshed I feel the next day, while this appears to be using some poorly defined or nonsensical means of "rating" my sleep in a manner that is meaningless. I can sleep two nights, both for 7 hours and both feeling refreshed upon waking and get a score in the fair range one time and one in the poor range another time--no logic to that and it has no relationship to anything that is useful or actionable to the user. I hate not having the option of just turning it off.
