All we can do us spread the word and keep asking for an off option. Having spent over $500 on their products shouldn't they give their consumers what they want?
Please please please get rid of the sleep score. Not only is it meaningless and useless, but it's also very de-motivating. I used to check my Fitbit first thing every morning to see the number of hours I slept and the weekly average that's easily viewable when you click on your sleep for the day. Now I just see a super-large number, then an average number for the week. And not only is it completely useless to me, it has replaced what I really need to see. Along with other recent changes (removing the recent tiles and replacing them with space-consuming bars so I now have to scroll to see every thing), this has pushed me much closer to switching to another fitness tracer. I'm currently researching other options. Fitbit, if you don't want to remove this number then can't you at least make it be an option that can be turned on/off? As you can see from all the people commenting on this thread, people are very unhappy about it.
Hi @irakez@CLOwalker, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback about the sleep score information that was included in the app, this feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here as it is currently under "Reviewed by moderator" status. This helps maintain the Community and the Feature Suggestion board more organized.
Please provide option to turn off sleep score. It is flat out wrong; says Good, but I am groggy because of interrupted and not enough deep sleep. Takes up a lot of valuable screen real estate and now I have to scroll and scroll to find the times and sleep states info. It is utterly meaningless information and on my phone adds a significant processing delay after the sync finishes. Please revert to prior version or provide a way for us to revert to prior version. Thank you.
There's a huge problem with the whole idea of this score, it's emotionally, scientifically, and genetically unsound.
There are a significant number of "short sleepers" in the world that actually have better health than the 8+ hour sleepers and the score is weighted by length of sleep.
I agree. I want to track my sleep, not score it. And if there's to be any scoring, just like FidgetT First Steps said, let me score it, not you! Gah, I hate it so much I want to get a new watch!
So @Fitbit we are done with this sleep score crap right? To sum up the posts I’ve seen.. Fitbit isn’t a doctor therefore can’t rate sleep Fitbit is causing distress amongst users who struggle in the area and are simply looking for an average Universally, today alone, I’ve received over 30 comment alerts. Today. Alone. So from my vantage, you are in the wrong. Enough, you have a staff to make this an optional feature. You will lose customers when you decide to venture over the line of placing judgement. Fitbit is data. Fitbit should never be judgement or advice. Know your place.
I really hate the sleep score. It makes me feel judged and takes away the useful information - like average sleep per week. Scoring is a horrible way of tracking sleep and just adds more pressure which all the studies show lead to worse sleep. I’m surprised that it was ever passed as an idea! Please get rid of it or make it optional. I have been a Fitbit user since it came to the UK and have never felt a need to comment on any before before!!
According to this -https://www.fitbit.com/fitbit-premium - it looks like FitBit expects people to start paying for a $10/month premium service to see sleep details replaced by the Sleep Score. Not only will I never pay for this service, I will never buy or recommend FitBit to anyone again. Being able to see my average weekly sleep to help me manage and monitor my sleep problems is one of the only things I use the app for. I hate the Sleep Score and I resent that FitBit is pulling a bait and switch to ask people to pay for basic data. I would rather manually calculate all the averages myself than pay them a cent to get access to the information as it used to be displayed.
Yes, agree with all the other users who have commented. It's not s useful feature, so let's have the average back please, at least as an option. Also, have noticed that you don't get a score if you have been asleep but the tracker has only been able to log reduced details (i.e it can't work out all the detailed sleep stages)so it just gives a score of 0!
If what you say is true Ft386, then Fitbit have made an enormous error, as other sleep trackers are catching up with their own software. It'll mean the end of Fitbit if they think they can start charging for this basic information. Shockingly poor customer service, poor decision to have a sleep score in any event, and shockingly stupid business decision. As my lovely Irish friend says: Eedjuts!!!
I would really like to turn off the sleep score feature from my app. I feel it is an arbitrary grade placed on my sleep that is more frustrating than helpful. There is no context for what the sleep score means. Please make it optional in the app settings to disable the sleep score feature.
Please remove the sleep score and put back the weekly average. That was so much more useful to me, as well as the graph right up front. The sleep score means nothing, is demotivating, and obnoxious. In addition to being demotivating because scores are inherently merit-based, the graphic is obnoxious and gives me a headache. The meaning is elusive ... I can glean all the meaning I need to from my sleep patterns and time asleep. I don’t even know why this would be an option... certainly not one I would ever choose. And I will not pay for a premium service just to get rid of this. Too many free sleep apps and step counters available to add $120 to my annual budget for a device I paid a premium price to own... several times now as they wear out.
Yes, I tried to go back to that post I saw, but after logging in to comment I could no longer find it...and I feel very strongly about this ridiculous grading system. I slept over 9 hours last night and received a 80, while my goal is 7 hours, my personal sleep need!
