More Accurate Battery Life or % in Mobile App

I have owned a Fitbit Charge HR for about 2.5 weeks now. Using the battery life indicator icon on the dashboard on my iPhone or IPad, I was shocked to see that I was at one-half reserve or less by the second day after full charge. I have no notifications permitted and only sync when I open the apps ( few times in 24 hours.) When I plugged in the Fitbit to recharge, however, the battery reserve always showed much greater than the dashboard icon reported. "What gives?" I asked. So, today I called your trusty tech support staff who has just confirmed that the battery life icon on the dashboard only has three "levels" it can report: full, medium, and low. Hmmmm. Not so cool.

OK, guys, please revise your onboard firmware and app software to more accurately reflect the true status of the battery reserve when checking into the dashboard. The "new dashboard" graphics have not addressed this issue. Otherwise, a lot of folks are going to be charging their devices unnecessarily rather than tracking all the fun on wrist or ankle, where they belong. Thanks!

I would like the Fitbit app itself to show the battery percent of my Versa. They're no reason it can't do this.

On the Fitbit app for any and ALL devices change the battery rectangle to the actual %number of charge left.  It is of more importance to ALL users to see actual number than to see a colored battery trying to indicate what the battery level is.

Just like all the other valuable ideas, your Fitbit techs will have to get 9 out of 10 stating that this is what should be done instead of the techs using COMMON SENSE and asking themselves if this change would make the Fitbit company a “World Class” company separating themselves from Garmin and all the other tracking device companies.

You should put battery percentage next to battery icon in Charge 2 Fitbit mobile app (iPhone, Android, Windows 10, Mac etc.)

We ALL agree but to get Fitbit to do anything to address the problem will probably never happen.

Is there a less responsive tech company than Fitbit?

They’ve been very good in supporting existing products, in my opinion. But not terribly creative in responding to queries like this one, which I would think would be a simple software fix.

They keep saying they’re working on it, but that’s been going on for nearly two years. They ought to just admit that they aren’t interested in improving it. They probably prefer you just buy their latest/greatest.

I can't believe that this is still not done. It would be so easy.

It would also possibly be a cost benefit to Fitbit by reducing battery-related support tickets.

One day after I started using my Versa, it was showing me in Orange that I only had 50% battery left. Not good. Or so I thought. I hadn't yet discovered (bizarrely!) that the ONLY way to see an exact battery level was to swipe up from the clock face on the Versa itself. It turned out that my battery was just under 75%, which after a day is OK.

I totally agree.  I like the Versa very much but have discovered that the battery available on the app, does not pair up with the watch and can be at times confusing.  Fitbit, can you please look into this.  Many thanks

I agree with this suggestion.

Along these same lines, when the battery is "low", a frowny face comes on my watch - so the most basic function becomes unavailable. After plugging in, I realize often there is 15-20% battery life left! That means that I lose the watch function even when I have plenty of life left in the battery. Can this be changed to have the frowny face reflect the bottom 1-3% of the battery? I feel that would be much more effective, if the frowny face showed up an hour or so before the charge died, less so 12-16 hours.

Can you put the number battery percentage % instead of using medium in your iPhone Fitbit mobile app (put in the top left corner of mobile app)?  I do NOT want to have to go check my Charge 2 fitness tracker each time I want to find its number battery percentage %.

Can you make it so that you use TOUCH ID to open your iPhone Fitbit mobile app?  I want it to be MORE SECURE!!

"... lose the watch function even when I have plenty of life left …" fully agree, this is stunning to shut off the display even users have 20% of battery left, seems nobody really testing at Fitbit their devices in real life cases and standard usability... sad to see

For the iPhone Fitbit mobile app version 2.95, please make the battery percentage + device name (i.e. Charge2) in BOLD.

For iPhone Fitbit mobile app, please make it so that in order to open Fitibit mobile app you need to use Touch ID.

I am running iOS 12.3.1 on an iPhone 6s Plus.

Please add option to Control brightness!!   Despite what sales, marketing, and engineering thinks, customers WANT this, even at expense of  more battery use
