after a message of one of you moderator i have decided to make that topic.

I really like you products but the people using an IOS device really need more notifications!

So please give us more! 😃

Whats App

Facebook 

and more messaging apps

@Gingerfury Awesome you have a Surge now! I would like to get more details about this idea. Currently, you're going to receive an email or a notification in your phone if you have it enable in your Dashboard. (see the picture below) 

Also, you can receive text notifications in your Surge from Hangouts, text messages and WhatsApp. Would you like to receive emails notifications in your Surge as you do with Hangouts or messages?

Hi SilviaFitbit, I would like a notification in the Surge itself for any email as well as Facebook messenger. I have noticed that if people Skype or FaceTime me, I get no notification of it on my Surge. Also would it be possible to read the whole message on the Surge and not just the first part of it? Thanks!

If your an Android user check out an app called "bitTicker" if you would like to have notifications from any app and customize them individually per app. I'm currently using it with Hangouts, Instagram, Outlook for email. It should have whatapp and Facebook notifications for all the phone platform including iPhone, at this point of modern life, smses are rarely use. I hope all these notifications will come in real soon!

It is a great smart watch that I loved a lot. But I think it is missing notifications other than the call notification, like SMS, WhatsApp, Calendar ...
It will be great if you add these notifications.

It is so annoying that android users do not have to take their phones out of their pockets during a meeting to read a whatsapp msg. I need this for IOS as my company only allow iphones. Please do the R&D to add other notifications to from IOS to Surge.Only spam is send by sms text, so who really needs that. Thanks

I have a Oneplus Two and have enabled Whatsapp notifications however when I get more than one message it only displays "2 new messages" or however many are waiting on my phone to be read. I can't actually read the messages. Can someone help? is it a setting im missing?

I'd like to see the ability to send notifications from specific apps (chosen by user) to the watch - similar to call/txt notifications but for other apps chosen by the user.

Any news on this? Has it made the roadmap?

I saw in some of the marketting articles for the new Fitbit watch that it only supports calendar, text and call notifications by design because they did some research and decided people don't like other notifications.... Please could you do the survey on the people in this topic instead? 😉

I would like whatsapp Facebook and Twitter alongside emails. Text is getting old fashioned now. I have iOS device so this would be great for these notifications to work with my surge. I don't want to buy an Apple Watch or other manufacturer but these are overtaking Fitbit now. Please make this happen as the surge is far better than all the other watches !!

Unfortunately, developers have not implemented it properly.

You can choose a "source" of text messaging to push on surge display, but you cannot select more than one source at once, so you can choose between sms, messenges, whatsapp, twitter, but not from multiple sources at the same time. It's a huge limitation on my humble opinion, i hope developers can understand how to properly allow multiple message source to work, at least for Android.

I'd like to add to this request for email notifications. The screen grab is just Fitbit notifications, yet most, if not all smart devices receive external email notification.

I'm looking at getting a Blaze, and this option would be really useful.

From what I gather, 3rd party apps like whatsapp aren't going to get any notifications on the blaze but surely email notifications could be applicable. Email notifications are just as important as text notifications, if not more for students as well as business people who get important emails from time to time.

 I seldom get text to be honest. Most are email and messengers (viber, fb, skype...etc). So it would really be very helpful if we get notifications of these apps.

Seems such a shame that notification are limited this way.  I have a Flex and am thinking of upgrading to a surge but ideally I would like to also ditch my Pebble at the same time (after all only want so much tech on my wrist) but until I can get all my notifications this is a deal breaker for me 😞

I agree, if we really need notifications from other apps pebble watch is an alternative and keep a flex or charge or alta.

Great suggestion and in this day and age of multiple messenging platforms I would have thought an obvious one.  I love my Fitbit Flex and would happily move up to a Surge or Blaze but lack of messenging support puts me off as I dont want a "big" Fitbit and my smartwatch.

I really like the look and design of the new fitbit blaze. I already pre-ordered one. Is there a possibility that a future firmware update could include notifactions for emails and whatsapp?

I'm sure this isn't a new feature request but couldn't see a proper answer about it anywere. I don't think many people (in the UK at least) use texts as there main means of messaging, it's generally whatsapp or facebook messenger so being able to see notifications from these with iOS would be fantastic! I'm loving my fitbit surge but seeing how good text notifications are makes me want them for things I actually use like Whatsapp! (Also very jealous of friends with Android and Fitbits at the moment)

Is this in the plan/being worked on? It would be good just to know whether this should be expected or not.
