I also encourage everyone on this post stuck with these devices to post on this channel every time you have to pull out your phone to change your music or turn volume up and down. If we have to deal with it then fitbit will have to listen to us until they fix this.

Hey Fitbit just was out doing lawn work and had to come back to the house and get my phone to change the song and turn down my volume. Sure would be nice to be able to do that from my phone like I USED to be able to do.

Hey Fitbit,

Just finished working in the garden and almost dropped my phone, because it
was in my pocket... Because that's the only way to change my songs since
your fancy watch can't do it. Thanks!

Hey Fitbit was just in my front yard when my neighbor stopped by to talk. I had to unzip my fanny pack and get out my phone and unlock it to pause my song so I could speak with her. Sure would be nice to have been able to just hit pause on my Fitbit watch like I USED to be able to do.
I also plan to go to the gym this afternoon so will be reaching out with that user experience as well. Look forward to your team pushing out the fix soon. Can you give us a ETA on that fix? How do you plan to make this right with your customers?

I agree 100%. It wasn't left off. They had it on there and removed it without informing customers. I have used Fitbit products for years, but this is absurd.

Add support as this essential. This was an expensive purchase and the capability to enable with a software patch or firmware should be possible as it's a feature on the sense V1.

It’s beyond stupid that we’ve been asking for this function to be RESTORED for over a year with zero response. Our next purchase will NOT be Fitbits, which is disappointing after being with this company through the original Charge, Charge 2, Blaze, and Versa 2. I’m so over this.

The problem isn’t necessarily Fitbit but more so the fact that Google bought the company and seems to have intentionally ruined it solely to ‘remove competition’. Now a large portion of the Fitbit community is done with Fitbit (including myself) and are more likely to get smart watches such as the Pixel (googles smart watch). More than anything else this has just badly stained my view of Google as a corporation. With this in mind I feel like unfortunately they want to hear us all say that we’re ‘over with Fitbit’ which is just awful. The fact they haven’t responded to this help page or given a real reason for removing both the music and so many other features Fitbit used to have has really reassured me in what I once considered speculation.

I'm really annoyed I bought this fitbit now. My main use for a smart watch
is for the capability of changing music whilst cycling or on a long walk
and keep my phone in my back pack charging. Such a simple feature will lose
lots of customers. Sigh

Begging for this feature to be RESTORED (it’s NOT a new function) for almost 2 years, and we get a “maybe”.

Sigh. 🙄

Hi, @LizzyFitbit. Thanks for the update. Unfortunately, it's about two years too late. I moved on from Fitbit and purchased a Garmin smartwatch shortly after my original post. Garmin's smartwatch has music controls and I've been very happy with it. Regardless, I hope this feature is restored for any current and future Fitbit users.

I don’t have YouTube music so this isn’t helpful to me 😓

Yeah this doesn't help me any either. I use the music player on my phone,  so I'm not trying to pay for another service when I have my own music.

Hahaha.

Way to go Fitbit.
Why give customers what they want when you could give them something inferior that costs more money.
Catch you later, I’m gonna get a Garmin.

We didn’t ask for another pay service.

We asked for the most basic of smart watch functions (the ability to control music WE ALREADY HAVE) to be restored.

IT SHOULDN’T BE THIS DIFFICULT. 😡

Nice try shoving down people's throats another pair service. I literally know ONE person who has a YT Music account and this isn't changing anytime soon. Thanks for nothing.

@LizzyFitbit This feature request is not specifically for YouTube Music controls. I'm sure most of us are interested in generic music controls that will work with any music app makes its controls available on phone lock screen.
