Naming/Labeling Alarms

Hello,

Wouldn't it be nice if you allow us to name the silent alarms? For example: an alarm to wake up, one to drink water, food, one to remind me of something such as an important meeting, etc...

Your feedback is highly appreciated.

Best regards,

I have a Charge 2 and I agree completely!! Sometimes I have a hard time remembering why I set an alarm.

This thread has been going since 2014 and is still an ongoing request. I'm a PM for software development and I have never seen a good user story take so long to develop. Either it's a) not enough funding b) there's a long list of defects to fix c) short on developers or d) whoever prioritizes the user stories doesn't see how popular this request is and keeps pushing it down the list.

I really hope they figure this out soon. I 💜 my Fitbit and want it to continue to lead the market in customer responsiveness and satisfaction. Let's keep the pressure on!!

Appreciate your support and insight!! I know that it can be done. Let's keep the pressure on Fitbit to make this happen... Will start to #namealarms on every Fitbit post on IG.

Upvote by me please make this a feature

Please add the feature to add customizable names to our alarm so we know what the alarm is. For example: 8:30 "drink water" or 10:00 "take medication"

that would be extremely useful.

Just adding support for this feature. I just got my Alta and have started to set alarms but was surprised I couldn't add a short description to each.

All these years... I can't believe this hasn't been implemented yet!

It would be fantastic to be able to name the silent alarms, a reminder should be able to remind you of what is the task to do, specially when more than one task may be due simultaneously.

Yes I agree.  Since the Charge 2 has option for several silent alarms, it would be most helpful to add a short message as to what it is reminding you to do.

Thats exactly what I'm thinking of

I was thinking of this and thought it would be really helpful for people who have alot of medication to take - so they can use the Fitbit to extend the health capabilities by reminding them with soft reminders of whey meds need to be taken.

I'd like to be able to receive text on my device telling me what each silent alarm relates to. At the moment I have a couple set but it just comes up as "alarm" - it would be useful if I could tailor this to say e.g. take medication, book taxi, doctors appointment etc.

As this has been a idea I've put forth several years ago Fitbit has been very slow to implement it. I don't think it will likely to be ever put into motion.

I'd like to be able to add a short Description to silent alarms and have that description scroll across the screen when the alarm is triggered. I have had silent alarms vibrate on my wrist and have forgotten what the alarm was for. The scrolling Description would fix this.

the scrolling Description for the silent alarm was a suggestion for the Charge 2

I believe it's been suggested in the past, but it would be awesome to be able to make custom labels for silent alarms, ex. class or meeting, so that they could be used as even more effective reminders throughout the day.

My calendar app for android was linked with my Fitbit so I received calendar alert messages. I set reminders for lots of important daily activities. Now that I have an iPhone I don't know if there is an equivalent option but it would be nice if it was an option in the Fitbit app

Alarms without names are like putting post it  notes on your calendar without any writing on them.

Come on guys, let's make this happen. I am not an app maker but this seems like a pretty elementary thing to do.

Can I push alarms from iPhone to the FitBit with labels?

I agree with this - I also end up using my phone but would prefer to put this away and use the fitbit 🙂

Please can this feature be introduced - it would add so much value to an already excellent product

It would be useful if i could add my own text to display with silent alarms i.e. Reminding me of when to take prescription meds etc. The current generic text doesn't serve any real purpose.
