Phone notifications should vibrate until call is rejected or picked up on Charge 5

When receiving a call the vibration should continue for the duration of the alert ("ringing") on your phone, with the option to "silence" the notification by pressing the button, like the silent alarm function. In its current state, it's way too easy to miss an incoming call.

Absolutely!

Currently the call notification is so poor and short that in an active environment (playing with toddler, shopping etc) it is easily missed and in fact I just cannot rely on the notification from the band, it's useless in the current form 😕

I agree. This is a big issue. I rely on notifications and alarms all the time, and this is incredibly frustrating.

I can’t feel the “strong” vibration even when I’m waiting for a vibration, as a friend sitting next to me texts to test it. The “strong” vibration is nonexistent. This is nothing like the (nice) vibration I had from my previous Versa 2.

I need the vibration to continue while a call is coming in until it is picked up or at least allow an adjustable timing for the vibration to continue for the user to set instead of only allowing 2 vibrates!
Most phones go to voicemail within 30 seconds if the call doesn't get picked up anyway, so battery life drain shouldn't be an issue.

I have the same issue with the Inspire 2. I keep missing important calls 😞

I understand that this is done to save battery life, but if the alarms can ring until user stops them then surely the fitbit can do the same for phone calls?

That's such a big deal and it looks like nobody is even trying to make a solution for it.

It is way too easy to miss a call, and it should be at least an option to make vibration duration longer.
It vibrates only twice and call vibration is identical to text message vibration.
I usually work with gloves, and I ignore messages until I have time to reply to it, but I can't ignore phone calls. My previous other brand smartband was vibrating non stop, and that's how I could identify if someone is calling me. Now it feels the same like simple notification.

It ain't so hard to change it. Come on guys, make our lives a bit easier.

Please fix this.

Those two vibrations could easily just be two messages coming in, so it is important to recognize a call for what it is.

My phone is always on silent, because I have a smartwatch... I just switched to a fitbit charge 5 and I didn't know this before. My old watch did it with no trouble.

There have been posts from the last 10 years of people asking for this, please don't ignore it.

Thanks 🙂

Too many missing calls due to charge 5 not vibrating long enough. Please change back to how it was when it vibrated until answered

Is this a programming issue, or an "We couldn't be bothered" issue?

If it's programming, as in "Android only gives a single notification for call coming in" then perhaps there is a reason why Google/Fitbit won't address this.  But every other smartwatch/tracker has figured out a way to vibrate with the phone's ringer length, so.....

If it's an "We don't want to run down the battery" issue, then let the individual user decide via a setting.   The majority of us will gladly recharge every 7 days instead of every 8 in order to be able to use the watch/tracker more effectively.

And if it's "Well, there just aren't enough votes for it", that's just a weak product planning department.  Having the public vote for things make it look like you're a responsive company, but popularity contests are not the best way to decide where development priorities should be set.
