Pregnancy setting/mode for more accurate data

Necessary:

Logging a pregnancy is a must, as is the ammenorheic period due to breastfeeding.  These drastically affect predictions making the app useless for many.  Eg. I have entered my data since 2011.  My periods are like clock work occurring every 27 days... but I have had 4 pregnancies in that time so the app is telling me that my peiods average every 104 days.

Useful:

Option to add basal body temp and ovulation data (eg. predictor strip).

Is there a way to track your weight gain during pregnancy?

I specifically got a Fitbit to help track weight loss.  I nurse 5 times a day, probably burning about 100 calories each time.  How can I track that if there is no option on the Fitbit?  Seems like a real lost opportunity for Fitbit to market to moms looking to lose weight in a healthy way.

Really would appreciate the pregnancy and nursing option to be available. Trying to stay healthy especially during pregnancy and after are crucial and the whole reason I bought the product to begin with.

Yes, I couldn't agree more with this. In my first pregnancy I had cardic arythmia and any time i ate my heart rate would shoot up, possibly something to do with the fact i had a case of severe hyperemesis gravidarum.

regardless it would have been nice if different paramaters were added for pregnancy, not even just pregnancy but afterwards for breastfeeding and other things that burn calories being able to log thos as options.

So i think there needs to be a pregnancy/nursing/new moms mode for those of use in those stages of life. I still want to stay healthy and keep up with exercise routine but I dislike that I can’t change my Fitbit Blaze to recognize that I’m pregnant and that I’ll gain about 25 ish pounds. Please please create a pregnancy/nursing/ new mom mode!!

I'd love to see a  option for caloric intake for pregnant and post partum women. If it took into account breast feeding, that would be even more amazing.

Also, if there was a "pregnant" setting for Aria, that would be great also.

Thanks!

Please bring back the pregnancy/nursing mode! I too am currently nursing and am trying to get the baby weight off (gained an extra 10lbs during the pregnancy; I only got my Fitbit last week). I’d really like to see how my increased activity level is effecting my calorie requirement. I’d also like breastfeeding to be taken into account when it should calories burned daily.

Suggestion: I was sitting I. The room wondering if I could enter in and track my health as a pregnant women but there isn't a link or a selection that could be use for such a thing. I think to make fitbit a little better for those who are expected mother's that wear fitbit and try to track their health throughout their pregnancy. There are women out there who has high blood pressure issues and some that like to workout during their pregnancy but can't adjust their settings for 9 months. That's my suggestion.

I recently got a fitbit for my birthday because I want to track my steps for the remainder of my pregnancy and get back on the workout wagon afterward.  With the changes in heart rate, weight gain and calorie intake there should (even sleep patterns) there should for sure be a function to reflect this part of life.

Pregnancy affects heart rate and calorie requirements/consumption. The app should have a way to turn on a pregnancy mode that allows for the changes associated with pregnancy.

Why not add your vote to the current request for a pregnancy setting,, our search should have brought it up.

Allow breastfeeding moms to indicate in their profile if breastfeeding which will then set our daily water goal to 96 oz instead of 64 oz.

Also, I want to highlight that during the pregnancy it is very important to track not only your heart rate and calorie requirements/consumption, but blood pressure as well.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, this feature (blood pressure logging) was also removed from a dashboard. That's very sad Smiley Sad

With the cardio score now added in, it’s a bit depressing to be told my heart rate is poor because my resting heart rate is 78 due to being very pregnant and of course I have gained some weight. Prior to pregnancy my resting heart rate was usually around 60.

Bring back pregnancy settings that can account for this!

I’m really shocked that I’ve seen multiple forums in FitBits community addressing the need for support tools for women for years, this thread in particular is 4 years old, with no development to support those needs/demands. This is a real miss for FitBit. As an active, nursing mother I’d like more definite data on my caloric expenditure and accurate tracking. If I eat the required calories, the tracker believes I’m over my daily required calories. They no longer offer the option to adjust your settings to pregnant or nursing. Disappointed in this aspect of the device and tracking.

It would be nice to have a pregnancy setting available since many normal values will change during this time

I would like to know why and or when a pregnancy setting will be back in place for Fitbit. When you think about the demographic of people wanting to loose weight I would assume the higher % is women. Women get pregnant. it would be nice to have a setting where you change it to pregnant and it calculates a new goal. For example I am not "allowed" to gain more than 20lbs for the whole pregnancy but i also need to eat 300 more calories a day in order to grow a healthy baby. Right now the original goal was to loose weight so numbers are all messed up. As well as a setting for nursing. on avg you burn 300-500 calories is there a way to get these settings. unfortunately without these settings i feel its pointless to use my tracker and i quite enjoyed using it.  Any suggestions!? Help. Thanks!

I agree! I am just entering my 2nd trimester, ❤️ My Fitbit, but all I can set it to is to loose, gain or maintain weight......pregnancy is so much more than just gaining weight. I hope they bring back this setting (while I’m still pregnant) 😊

I would like some help with setting up pregnancy exercises, including yoga, and managing my increasing weight whilst pregnant. There doesn't seem to be any specific exercises or anywhere to manage weight gain.

I would even have it so you can “track” breastfeeding. Like start/stop times so that you can get a fairly accurate calorie count. I’m trying to use the app to ensure I’m getting enough and the right kinds of foods for me and my baby. Also, it would be awesome if where you show us “macros” we could see more of a nutritional breakdown including sugars and other important info we look at.

Any news on this? Other smart scales do have this feature, so why doesn’t the Aria have it?

How has this not happened yet? The original bf post is 3 years old now. Profile, check a box - nursing. Boom 400 extra calories added to your profile. Much easier than having all of your breastfed users manually add the activity every day.

I’m a professional athlete and love being able to stay connected with my friends and family back home via my Fitbit. I know I’m healthy and eat the right foods but I’d love my Fitbit to know I’m pregnant to adjust my fitness levels. Your heart rate rises, sleep patterns change, you put on weight, get out of breath easily... I’m not using Fitbit to monitor my food intake (you only need an extra 200cal in the final trimester), I’m not eating for 2, I’m running for 2, and if my Fitbit knew I was 6 months pregnant it might give me a different reading for my fitness levels?...

Please add a pregnancy/nursing option.  You are doing a huge disservice to a large portion of the population by not having this basic option.
