Pregnancy setting/mode for more accurate data

Necessary:

Logging a pregnancy is a must, as is the ammenorheic period due to breastfeeding.  These drastically affect predictions making the app useless for many.  Eg. I have entered my data since 2011.  My periods are like clock work occurring every 27 days... but I have had 4 pregnancies in that time so the app is telling me that my peiods average every 104 days.

Useful:

Option to add basal body temp and ovulation data (eg. predictor strip).

I don’t do twitter, but I fully support this. There really needs to be a media storm for this. Is there a Facebook page where we could share something like this to get their attention?

I don't tweet, either, but here's Fitbit's FB page: Fitbit

Y’all, my fabulous (and also pregnant) sister just bit the bullet and made the first twitter post about this and sent me the link so you can retweet or whatever it is you twitter peeps do. https://mobile.twitter.com/nellyrising/status/1080912871045955589

Go at it, and good luck!

Your twitter response is condescending. Why are you biased against mothers fitbit?  This is clearly a bug. If you are going to track my period, track a pregnancy. Super basic concept or the 40 or more weeks I'm pregnant are going mess up my stats.

Not at all im being serious! Im currently pregnant with twin fyi and im
furious my fitness says im avg in fitness due to how much weight and my hr
changing..

I seriously mean we should get this advertised more in the general public
for fitbit to take action! Moaning on here clearly is not getting fitbit to
recognise the blatent fault with their problem!

@Jenk84 I've started some stuff on twitter, and their responses there were equally condescending. I'm unimpressed. We all need to start retweeting this, because obviously, Fitbit is biased against mothers health.

yep. and I told them they were biased. And asked why.

I think it's less of a bug and more of a difference in prioritization than
we'd like to see. Fitbit is a company with a certain number of staff who
can only tackle a certain number of things at a time. I like to think they
created this forum to help prioritize the time their staff spends on new
features. Once we reach whatever metric they've put in place to determine
that a new feature is "wanted enough," I feel like they'll listen and make
a change.

Maybe public shaming may feel like it will lead to faster results, but in
reality, if we all just made a few more comments in this forum per day,
we'd hit their quota. Maybe I'm naive, but I don't know that a twitter war
will allow them to work any faster.

@Jenk84 - She was responding directly to Fitbit Support from twitter.

Someone go and tweet the heck out of this and her tweet response to them. This is not ok, and my naive little self who commented back in MAY thought they might actually get the feature included before the end of my pregnancy (had my son in November)...I repeat: this is not ok.

Period apps have been out for YEARS. All of them have a pregnancy mode. It's a bug, and oversite, and an implication that women don't or shouldn't get pregnant. Fitbit's responses, both here, and on twitter have been condescending. Oh go vote it up and we'll look into it. We all use their expensive products, and they added a skimpy period tracker and forget to add pregnancy. Period tracker apps have had the pregnancy feature since they were created because it's a super obvious thing to include. It can't be that hard to add and should have been done from the beginning.

Phew. I thought it was aimed at me and thought my comment was meant to.be
condescending. Im super pregnant sensitive at the moment 🤣 The issue is
getting the message heard. Not a lot of attention here and we are all
wanting it changed. Twitter and social media add attention and create
opportunities which we are missing... but others need ti support the
movement.

And by using a forum that isn't controlled by Fitibt, I know my comments will reach a larger audience, and not be censored or shamed by their moderators.

I have commented on Instagram posts when they advertise about womens health
tracking as well as keep track of all of your activities following your
children around and I have written on the forum, and talked to Fitbit
support, all they ever do is direct me to post on this forum. They have
also deleted my comment on an Instagram post with no response. They never
actually give a reassureing response, or an answer to when we can expect to
see any changes, at this point it would just be nice for them to say they
hear our wants and are working on it.

I totally agree that we deserve some kind of indication that the message is
being heard by someone who can redirect efforts instead of just a moderator
telling us it’s an interesting idea.

If you review other suggested features listed in the forum, some are listed
as pending/completed/etc. we know there’s a process for Fitbit to listen
to suggestions, we just need to get their attention.

@subebird This is why we would like to take this to twitter and facebook - to get some attention. This is more than just a 'good suggestion' like making sure your tracker app is compatible with spotify, or making sure that the battery life shows up on your iphone screen. This is a necessary part of tracking women's health, and just proves that the people who decided to institute the women's health feature were either men, or very young single women who never intend to get pregnant ever. Fact: women get pregnant. It's a part of life. Also fact: pregnant women want to stay healthy too - this is why I (and others presumably) continued to wear my fitbit during my pregnancy...it's just disappointing that the only thing I could track was steps and sleep because the rest of the app told me I wasn't fit, wasn't moving enough, that I was too fat, that my heart rate was terrible, etc. Guess what Fitbit support!! part of pregnancy is an increased resting heart rate - doesn't mean i'm out of shape, it means I'm growing a freaking human being in my body and it takes a little more work to get all the blood to where it needs to go!

Please people, get on twitter and make some noise. #fitbitdoesntsupportpregnancy #fitbitdoesntdopregnancy #fitbithatesmoms

It is totally bonkers to call it “women’s health” when there’s actually so little about women’s health in it !! The fact that it dictates when I ovulate, when It’s just not that set in stone, and I can’t move my predicted period into the future when I know I ovulated on a different day than they predicted and that my period won’t come on the day the app says... and it’s got the morning after pill as an option which I just find bizar!?

Its not really a women’s health tracker it’s a period tracker and not even a very good one at that.

To not be able to add a pregnancy seems even more ridiculous!! I feel like no women were involved in making it what so ever !!
