Pregnancy setting/mode for more accurate data

Necessary:

Logging a pregnancy is a must, as is the ammenorheic period due to breastfeeding.  These drastically affect predictions making the app useless for many.  Eg. I have entered my data since 2011.  My periods are like clock work occurring every 27 days... but I have had 4 pregnancies in that time so the app is telling me that my peiods average every 104 days.

Useful:

Option to add basal body temp and ovulation data (eg. predictor strip).

Is this still in consideration?
I haven’t been able to accurately use this so far whilst breastfeeding.

my HV says I need 3000 calories daily but I also have post partum weight loss goals along with not having a period.

it would also be great to track my baby by simply inputting the data manually for feeding start time, dirty and or wet nappy. Current age last weight etc

sort it out Fitbit!

@Kcordero yes! Love the # idea.

OMG since 2014 and this feature has still not been added! This totally baffles me. I was so pissed that my fitbit was basically useless to me during my pregnancies and during my post-partum and lactation periods after. I lost respect for fitbit when I realized this was not even planned to be added (as this is a huge part of many womens' lives and health journey). It really sucks to not have the company value women enough to listen to their needs and acknowledge that pregnancy and nursing are frequently part of a normal female experience. You have 40 pages of comments here and countless other threads of women who are angry about this, who feel invalidated, ignored and disrespected. Do better Fitbit!

I just purchased the Fitbit Luxe and am very disappointed that this feature is not available. Calorie intake is SEVERELY affected while breastfeeding or pregnant and encompasses a wide range of a woman's life. I'm currently breastfeeding and planning to be pregnant again within the next year. I feel duped and like this won't fit my needs. If this doesn't become an option, I'll probably cancel my premium membership.. what's the point in paying for premium when I won't be able to use majority of the features for several years. This is so so disappointing.

I was FLABBERGASTED to discover that there is no pregnancy mode for Fitbit, but ENRAGED that women have been requesting  this for nearly a decade (one of the comments I read was from 2013) and FITBIT has yet to respond. WTF, Fitbit!?! Thanks for showing how much you truly value the health of your female users.

Ability to log D&C/miscarriage and positive and negative pregnancy tests in menstrual tracking. If positive test the app should stop tracking when I’m ovulating and when I may have my period. Once the pregnancy is complete, that should be able to be logged. Add symptoms such as dizzy/light headedness, feeling “off” or not right, woozy

Without it, the menstrual cycle shows I am still waiting for my period, my weight goal is wrong and my heart rate is under fair or average when in pregnancy is normal that heart rate goes up.

Hi @Pserran, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to use Pregnancy setting/mode for more accurate data. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". I hope to see you around.

Currently we have female menstrual cycle tracker, but It would be great if we can also log in and track pregnancy details like baby due and mom's weekly weight gain. Also it should halt tracking monthly menstrual cycle during a pregnancy.

Hi @Saranyaa, thanks for sharing this suggestion about having an option to track your pregnancy and other related details such as baby due and mom's weekly weight gain with us. This idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestions board, so I’ve moved your post here. Pregnancy tracker on Fitbit:

These comments are great.
women have been asking for this for years and with valid reason.  I wonder why Fitbit hasn’t included this human function?

Pregnancy changes your heart rate, calorie intake, your hormones that further affect weight and energy levels, and your physical body, potentially your over all health.

I’m pregnant right now and my Fitbit says my heart rate is always high.  I can’t help but wonder if that affects what zones it thinks I’m in or how many calories I burn.

I would love to see a pregnancy tracker added to this already awesome product.

To be able to correctly record calorie burn and work out what you should be doing each day during your pregnancy. Track your weight gain and even your weight loss postpartum, the options for this are endless and it could be a cash cow! This is vital for both mum and baby to stay healthy.

It wird be great if we could tell the period tracker that we are pregnant, if for no other reason that it will stop telling us that we should be getting/ on/ almost finished our period for those 40 weeks.

If Premium actually included a pregnancy mode that helped me track my changing health data in a way that is meaningful - telling me if the changes in my resting heart rate and weight are on track for my age/height or not, automatically adjusting my step goals and calorie intake in each trimester, giving me tips to improve my sleep and eating for pregnancy, including a labour breathing feature alongside the relax feature -  instead of just telling me I’m getting fat and lazy, I would actually finally sign up and pay for Premium.

As things currently are, I have an expensive watch that tells me my sleep sucks and I’m not meeting my health goals. Thanks, but I’m not paying any extra fees for that.

Really hoping this changes soon. It hasn't been an option since my first pregnancy. It gives a negative connotation for the weight gain, says I'm in "poor" health because of the naturally raised HR, and gives an average period day count that's just crazy.

It is appalling that this is still under review. I guess it is being reviewed by a group of men only????

Clear lack of inclusion from the Fitbit team, not even joining Google team they learn how to be diverse. Sad.

Sad it’s 2021 and this is still not an option. 👎🏼

Here to add my dismay to the chorus that there is no pregnancy option for Fitbit after years and years of requests. It’s absurd. I don’t feel the need to justify the request as many many before me have stated exactly why it’s necessary.

I am horrified that women have been asking and voting for this feature since 2013 and it still does not exist EIGHT YEARS LATER!! Talk about discrimination of a protected class!! I have been a premium Fitbit member for many years and am horrified to discover that after years of paying for this service women still cannot access an element of the app that 50% of the worlds population have the right to experience a happy healthy pregnancy. Seeing comments that Fitbit has told customers to engage with new devices or apps because Fitbit is too lazy to build the mods women are asking for. There are so many services like Fitbit in the market I'm shocked it's developers haven't risen to the challenge to provide for its clients rather than telling them to try other apps. It's safe to say I will be voting with my feet and ceasing my premium membership after 6 years of my $19.95 a month, as you could not build this feature you don't deserve a single cent more of my money! Fellow angry pregnant women unite!!!

Haha! Yes!

Strongly considering delegating my Fitbit app, getting rid of my watch and moving on to a company that cares.

An unbelievable oversight by Fitbit, and unforgiveable after so many years of requests.

If pregnancy also affected men, we wouldn't be having this conversation at all... sad we even need to ask for this in this day and age...

Pregnant women need to track entirely different things around weight gain, Pigg sí al activity, calories, etc through their pregnancy, nursing, and recovery. We don’t want to have to ignore period reminders for almost a year when they’re not supposed to come. Or worry about weight loss not happening when we’re growing another human inside our body.
