Pregnancy setting/mode for more accurate data

Necessary:

Logging a pregnancy is a must, as is the ammenorheic period due to breastfeeding.  These drastically affect predictions making the app useless for many.  Eg. I have entered my data since 2011.  My periods are like clock work occurring every 27 days... but I have had 4 pregnancies in that time so the app is telling me that my peiods average every 104 days.

Useful:

Option to add basal body temp and ovulation data (eg. predictor strip).

This has been posted a lot but it seems we need more people to speak up. PLEASE add pregnancy features in the menstrual health portion. It is ridiculous that you can log such specifics as ovulation test, cervical mucus quality and unprotected/protected sex but no way to indicate when you’re pregnant or breastfeeding??? This NEEDS to be acknowledged

Pregnancy monitoring would provide encouragement for moving often, tips on why your sleep is poor, newly added stress management is affected, ensuring your heart rate is in a safe zone during workouts to keep baby safe, ensuring you’re staying hydrated, stop nagging you about your missed period, how many additional calories needed, and more!

How has this thread been open since before 2015...this is the exact same thread I was directed to with the exact same concern over 6 years later. Fitbit seriously---you need to do better. This is beyond upsetting, it's quite literally insulting.

First, you overlooked women's health altogether, then you added solely for periods and NOTHING for pregnancy. The message I receive as a long-time Fitbit user (since 2014) is that you don't care about the health of women. We are not only an afterthought, we are actually discarded and ignored.

This is blatant sexism and I won't stand for it. I'm absolutely fed up with this company, you've lost a loyal customer.

Needs to be a pregnancy ability in the app so that the period trackers menstrul cycle etc is more accurate and weight gains/exercise etc can be better monitored

Hi @churchie23489, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to see pregnancy option on Menstrual Health tile. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". I hope to see you around.

Sooo nearly a 1000 comments, is Fitbit any closer to adding a pregnancy or no period option for female health tracking? I just find it so bizarre that this aspect of women’s health wasn’t a consideration and can’t believe it’s 2021 and we’re still waiting on this to be a thing. Using another app in conjunction with Fitbit for more accurate tracking but meanwhile, regretting this purchase 😞

Breastfeeding burns a lot of calories and I would love to include that while tracking my foods. To make sure I am eating enough.

The female health tracker tracks your periods and fertile times, but does not allow you to log a pregnancy. For example, I am still getting “your period ends in 4 days” even though I am pregnant.

In period tracker, there was no way to record my pregnancy, meaning in the three months I was pregnant I was getting notifications of expected ovulation and period dates, which became anxiety inducing leading up to the point where I miscarried. We need to be able to track our pregnancies and miscarriages to use this app effectively.

In 2021, this is an expectation that all fitness apps should fulfill. Accurate tracking for pregnant people is a human rights issue, and needs to be prioritized.

The amount of emails I get about this request is insane.
Instead of just saying it’s a fab idea why don’t fitbit actually do something about it?!

Is this still not a thing? C'mon Fitbit, this should be a no brainer!

I think at this point we need to use social media to further incentivize Fitbit to do the right thing. Might I suggest the hastag #FitbitFailsPregnancyTest ? If we all share our stories, and use the hashtag on social maybe Fitbit will comply, or maybe another tracker/smart watch company will and we will all be wearing devices made my a much more inclusive company a year from now!

On the mental health section it's very important for women to be able to track their pregnancy and the symptoms that go along with this. I'd like to see this integrated with the period tracking so that the app knows your cycle is not irregular.
