Pregnancy setting/mode for more accurate data

Necessary:

Logging a pregnancy is a must, as is the ammenorheic period due to breastfeeding.  These drastically affect predictions making the app useless for many.  Eg. I have entered my data since 2011.  My periods are like clock work occurring every 27 days... but I have had 4 pregnancies in that time so the app is telling me that my peiods average every 104 days.

Useful:

Option to add basal body temp and ovulation data (eg. predictor strip).

I am definitely considering it. I have Motorola phone. It is crazy how much
Fitbit has went downhill.

Ladies! Already made the switch to Apple Watch. Being able to log breastfeeding as why I don’t have a period is pretty normal. It tracks much better than my Fitbit did. Not looking back or missing anything!! Don’t settle for a Fitbit when other smart watches have more woman centric features.

Cant believe - that looking at the dates on some of these comments, that having some kind of pregnancy component is not a thing yet. Menstrual cycle tracking is one thing, but i wish it would stop telling me my periods starting while I’m pregnant

Yes, I agree. That was really annoying.

I think having a option sort of like the breastfeeding option would be fantastic. Something that can turn off period suggestions and maybe just tell you how far along you are. Simple but useful.

I really think there needs to be a pregnancy feature because without it all the workouts, stretches and weight tracking is useless during pregnancy.

It is infuriating that this suggestion has been open since 2013 and under consideration since 2018 AND this still is not a feature available in the app. I’ve been a Fitbit user since 2018, but only now started to need the pregnancy tracking feature. I’ll just give my Fitbit to my male partner - as it seems that Fitbit is only considering male needs - and switch to a competitor (apple or garmin) that has added this important feature for women’s health. The default male in tech and health is just insulting.

How many more votes will it take for this to be updated on the Fitbit ? This is a very common and necessary part of health. I find it pretty mind blowing this has been a topic of discussion since 2015 and for some reason Fitbit is not putting its resources into it…

Yes! Please make this update!

Fitbit allows us to track our periods and ovulation but not a pregnancy at this time but wouldn't that also help with the accuracy of the periods and ovulation

Currently pregnant and wish we could have a pregnancy mode. I had a miscarriage last year so it threw off my predicted fertility window and period length which made having this baby hard - I had to rely on third party apps. Would love to see fitbit add this.

I had a miscarriage as well before I got pregnant with my daughter. I used
Ovia fertility app.

Ridiculous that this inclusion hasn't been added yet. Women have been requesting this for years.

A function to track pregnancy would be great. Even if it just starts like that and grows with information and changes in food tracking/weight etc, like in the other suggestions.

First I thought I just could not use fit bit, when I tried to add my pregnansies to the menstrual health app. But kniw that I know there is not such option STILL available I am questioning getting this new device alltogether. How can thus be? Off cours my app cant predict my periods cause I havent had them in those +30months I was pregnant and breastfeeding.

This is so sexist and stupid.

Fit bit - plz fix

If you have a uterus, Fitbit is not for you. Unlike half a dozen great products on the market, this glorified step-counter lacks even the most basic “Pregnancy Mode” toggle for tracking feminine health, much less any algorithms adapted to account for the bodily and hormonal changes that can affect your body for up to 3 years post-natally.

Nor does Fitbit seem to have any care to add this feature: it has been “Under Consideration” with 48 pages of unanswered requests and suggestions from female users since 2018 with no meaningful responses. In fact, the customer service policy regarding women’s health appears to be, “ignore them and maybe they’ll go away.

Well, I suggest it’s time that we do just that. Leave this tech bro trash to the fraternities and buy a product from a company that cares about women’s health. Or just spend $20 bucks on a pedometer, because that’s all a Fitbit will be to you if you ever become pregnant.

How is this still not a feature?? What kind of misogynistic software is this? You're excluding 50% of the population, causing inaccurate data, and not accounting for an entire 10 months of a pregnant person's activity. This has been an FR for ten+ years which is pretty appalling.

It is crazy that there is an option for ovulation tests but not pregnancy tests. It can count the days of your mentrual cycle but not how far along in your pregnancy you are? There seems to be no plans in place either to add the necessary information to track pregnancy and adjust calories, weight, etc for pregnancy. Very disappointing and will keep in mind when I’m shopping for a new brand of watch.

Come on fitbit, this was suggested 5 years ago. Let's do better. This is a huge deal for women going through pregnancy. Women's heart rates and BP usually change during pregnancy, calorie intake, water etc... for those of us who contine to work-out during pregnancy being able to adjust all the said info would be amazing.

Just adding my voice to the chorus that it’s ridiculous and disrespectful that this hasn’t been addressed in nearly 10 years. Gross. I’m off to find a new company producing activity trackers that values women’s health. Fitbit clearly doesn’t care about women.

Just checking to see if there has been any update on this?

I would be so much more happy with fitbit if they provided a pregnancy and nursing mode. I am expecting twins as my first pregnancy and having a tough time knowing how many calories I should be eating with my exercise level and other factors; I can only imagine how much harder it is going to be when I start breastfeeding.

When I spoke to a fitbit team member about this they suggested I come here, it is extremely frustrating to me that this has been an ongoing request since 2013 and was changed to "under consideration" in 2019, but yet nothing has been done to try and make this request a reality for the 1,000+ women that have been asking for this. It seems to me that fitbit just does what they can to push us off onto making a comment in their suggestion box so that they don't have to actually answer us on why this has been a 10 year request with no leverage still.

I will definitely be looking into different options for fitness trackers that are more women friendly and am sorry to say that after years of loyalty to fitbit I will no longer be recommending them to anybody or purchasing their products.
