Pregnancy setting/mode for more accurate data

Necessary:

Logging a pregnancy is a must, as is the ammenorheic period due to breastfeeding.  These drastically affect predictions making the app useless for many.  Eg. I have entered my data since 2011.  My periods are like clock work occurring every 27 days... but I have had 4 pregnancies in that time so the app is telling me that my peiods average every 104 days.

Useful:

Option to add basal body temp and ovulation data (eg. predictor strip).

Honestly shocked there’s no way to report a pregnancy on the Fitbit app? Really tired of getting sleep and heart rate suggestions when there is a very clear, overarching reason behind the new data….

Really frustrating that I can't log pregnancy. My RHR has increased by 10 in the space of 2 weeks and now my fitness score has decreases and I keep getting stress notifications. Totally sexist and demotivating for someone who takes their fitness seriously- the reason I have a fitbit watch in the first place. Please fix this fitbit.

I am really surprised that you cannot add pregnancy to the app. How can you track female health if you completely dismiss it? What is even the point of trying to track periods if you completely ignore such vital information? So many things change in your body during this period and this app will continue logging everything as if nothing happened! It is so disappointing to see that it is one more product created only for men.

There are posts dating back to 2014 asking for this feature! What is wrong with the devs not being able to add this? Its truly frustrating. This is something that impacts millions of people and their health.

Still not understanding why pregnancy tracking still "under consideration", since 2014. It's really sad that a fitness company is not supporting healthy pregnancies. Fitbit wants to know the bc, menstruation details, and wants to help predict fertility. However, a pregnancy feature is unavailable. Please make this make sense.

From what I can see women have been asking fitbit to include an option to add a pregnancy since 2018. Why is the request being ignored? There's so much feedback on it, yet nothing. So many things change when a women is pregnant. Weight, HR, exercise, sleep, the list is endless. Sort it out please fitbit. You're alienating so many women!

Hi - just wondering if there is an update on this feature. It's been under consideration since 2019. I have been a fitbit user for many years now and recently become pregnant. By not being able to flag this in the app means that you can't use the app as effectively. Appreciate that even without being pregnant, the app is based on guesswork and formulas but it would help the accuracy if women could add in this additional variable. Thanks

Why is this still under consideration? It can't take 4 years to decided on something as simple as having a pregnancy mode. Seems ridiculous. Update please!

I’ve recently become pregnant and went to my Fitbit to add this major health related detail but was extremely disappointed to see there is no option to add you are pregnant? Which is astounding. Pregnancy changes so much in a females body.

There's currently no option to register pregnancy anywhere on the app. I am afraid that when I am finished with my pregnancy, my next predicted period will be 40 weeks away. And I can simply not rely on this app any longer. Can the app developers look into this?

It's crazy to see that this has been under discussion for 10+ years!

It would be so great to see some pregnancy workouts as well! I have raised that issue a couple of times but to no avail so far. Please understand that those who enjoy using this app would like to see this feature here rather than install few more apps to do something as basic as exercise. The exercises could be split into trimester level difficulty/safety/complexity. It'd be highly appreciated!

How come this still isn’t an option in the app? It’s taking several years already and it’s such a needed option. Because now, during pregnancy, I can’t use the Fitbit stats at all. Very disappointed with this!

The women who first suggested this mode would now have 9 year old children.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding has such a huge and long lasting effect on a woman's health, it's very clear that Fitbit does not give a hoot about women.

It's now 2024 and Fitbit has still yet to add a Pregnancy/Breastfeeding feature?! But this was "under consideration". So, what happened? Pregnant/Breastfeeding women aren't important for considering this feature & their opinions don't matter. That's what I'm getting from Fitbit. I'm strong to lose all respect. They say they're listening to what their customers want but they really don't care!! I'm not buying another premium subscription. For someone who's 5 weeks pregnant & posting 5/6 years later, it's just insulting that Fitbit hasn't added this yet!!

It's very strange that the morning-after pill to prevent pregnancy is available, but not even a "pause tracking periods" option exists for when we get pregnant. I could program that simple toggle-off feature myself! Fit bit menstrual tracking loses its mind when we get pregnant, "Does not compute! Human female not havig periods for 9-10 months?! 🤯 😵 Afterwards, there's no way to fix our averages without adding fake periods. Otherwise, we have 100+ day cycles predicted. We can track ovulation, but only to avoid making babies? Not to try to conceive? What an ideal period tracker for a man-child! As it is, basically it only shows when it's best to have sex without potentially unintended consequences. "Sweet, she's not bleeding, but ovulation is not predicted." If you're not going to add pregnancy, remove "menstrual tracking" from being a woman's fitbit feature to being an uncommitted playboys' feature to avoid getting their Main or their side-chick pregnant! Are there even any women on your board or moms in places of power at Fitbit?

Other posters - thanks for listing apps and devices that are designed with women and moms in mind too! I'll be switching to one of them once this device conks out. 1/10 dnr!

It is under consideration from 2018.. Having pregnancy marked in a fitbit app is a must! As I bought Fitbit to track my basal body temperature and my fertile days to become pregnant,  I was shook that it doesn’t have such a simple thing as to be able to mark months of pregnancy.. I hope Fitbit is working on it already.

Yes! Please add a pregnancy / postpartum mode. This affects calories, weight, sleep, stress - all things Fitbit already tracks.

I plan to switch to another tracker/brand that has a pregnancy mode.

I’m pregnant and I got a free Fitbit Luxe through the PowerMom Pregnancy Study, specifically to track my stats through pregnancy 🙂 I would love to be able to log it in my Fitbit app that I am pregnant so the cycle predictions would go away for the 9 months automatically, and track when baby is born too.
