Rearrange or customize Charge 3 & 4 apps/stats view/Today

I'd really like the ability to rearrange the built in apps on my Charge 3. The app I'll use most often is the Weather, which is on the last page! I have to swipe a bunch to get to it. The next one would be the timer app, which is on the second page. The most frustrating part is that on some of the help pages, the images show the apps in a different order! I've spent ages trying to figure out how to adjust it.

Please make this an option!! I had a charge 2 HR and could do this...I don’t understand why an “upgrade” is downgraded in options!! This would save battery life for a lot of us as we wouldn’t be swiping through tiles we don’t use to get to ones we actually do use...so it will add to the base performance of the watch too!

Agreed. This is basic functionality that should be included.

There is a clock face that shows steps and heart rate. I use it.

Hey PheonixBunny78, I'm truly delighted to hear that you're able to have all the metrics you need on one clock face, but I also am interested in my calories burned and active minutes and would like to access those more readily than I am currently able to. A minor change bringing back existing functionality should accomplish that!

Agreed with the 1,000+ people here that the feature that existed in the Charge 2 should be added back. Is there any update on when this will happen? It's been a few months since the original posting...

I agree completely and SUPER VOTE. I really want to be able to customize what is in the flow when I swipe upwards on my screen on my Charge 3.

For whatever reason (and I've already looked up so many things to tell me how to fix the issue, done the reset, etc.) my fitbit is counting floors that I do not climb. Example: Today I climbed zero floors, yet for some reason, when I swipe to look at some stats, it shows 14 floors! what the heck?!

Its not a huge deal, since I read that they don't count towards your calories and whatnot (at least, they had better not, or my weight-loss is seriously screwed).. its just more annoying to see than anything, so I would like to hide it from view altogether!

PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!

Agree: it would be convenient to rearrange/hide stats on the tracker.

Mine it counting floors that I don't climb either.  When I contacted about that and mainly that on my over and hour drive to work it is counting sometimes over 1,000 steps and 20 floors.  They said it is air pressure counting the floors and bad roads. And I should take it off when I drive.  But my Flex 2 never counted steps on my drive so I just don't think so. And if I have to take my fitbit off every time I drive I will totally forget to put it back on.

From fitbit "As per your case, the Fitbit Charge 3 will add floors or any steps by movement, based on the notes, it seems like you are driving and wearing your Fitbit, due to environmental impact, if in your area the temperature is low and there's always wind, all of these factors along with your car movement will make your Charge 3 to believe that you're climbing floors. As you may know the higher you go, the less air pressure there exist.
In a nutshell that's pretty much how our watches calculate floors climbed and steps due to the programmed algorithm on our devices so this, all in all, is an expected behavior. As gentle advice, we recommend taking the Fitbit off of your wrist while driving or manually negate them by logging walking as a workout on the app. "

It’s so infuriating when the response from Fitbit about extra steps and floors is to tell us to take it off in the car, and you actually have to put it on charge for it to really work. I have big problems with this! A: it’s a watch and it should be on your wrist. B: one of the functions of the watch is monitoring of heart rate which it can’t do if I’m not wearing it and C: I forget it in the car all the time!

The moderator will probably come on and move these posts to the overcounting discussion and we won’t get any further comment. The charge 3 is poorly designed and Fitbit need to fix it. We should be able to change the apps we view, wear it in the car and get a reasonably close count of steps and stairs. That’s what they tell us we will get if we buy it but really we just get a useless piece of junk and no acknowledgment by Fitbit that they stuffed up.

It seems rather clear to me that Fitbit does a crap job on design.  Before launching new products or rolling out a software/dashboard redesign based on what your developers think might be "cool" why not check with ACTUAL END USERS to get their feedback BEFORE making any software redesign/design decisions?

It would seem if they did, they would have known right away it is a bad move to take away tile customization that was present on the predecessor.

Same comment regarding their redesign of the food logging page.  Completely convoluted and way more confusing to figure out, not at all intuitive.  I've been using computers and tech my entire life and most of the time can figure things out.  If I'm unable to figure it out right away then it's not at all intuitive.  Would have been much easier ways for people to update their foods/meals and/or delete custom foods before they changed the functionality.

Fitbit, PLEASE institute user panels and take ACTUAL USER feedback into consideration when changing the functionality of existing dashboard/app/web page functionality.  Don't make sweeping changes based on the developers.  I'm sorry but developers should not be driving the UI/functionality design, that should come from actual end users.

Fitbit is really screwing the pooch when it comes to software / feature design.  They are NOT taking actual Fitbit owner's / users feedback into consideration when designing new products and/or redesigning the app/dashboard/website.

Then once they've made a crap design decision that the users don't like for the most part they go silent and us end users are stuck with it.

Honestly I like the Fitbit app/dashboard because it allows for tracking of most of what is important, although the app redesign from a few years ago is crap compared to the old system which tracked targets for each day (instead of tiles only showing current day's stats outside of the top overview tile).  If there were another activity tracker for Android that offered similar tracking and a better experience I'd bail on Fitbit.

So Fitbit, why not try to KEEP and retain your existing user base in addition to capturing new market share?  It's not that hard to work with actual end users and/or do field tests with people OUTSIDE OF FITBIT that actually use your products and base your design decisions on that feedback. If your design is solely based on feedback from Fitbit employees/software design/engineers/developers then you are missing the boat completely.  You need to go outside the corporate walls to get feedback from ACTUAL CUSTOMERS.

Gotta say I love the comment by the moderator above;

"Good idea, thanks for taking the time to share it with us. Keen to hear what others think?"

I think it's pretty clear what others think, we all want the ability to select which information is available and arrange the order it's presented like we had with the Charge 2.

To this day other than being waterproof I can't think of a single thing the Charge 3 does better than the Charge 2.  I find it astounding that this is touted as a new and improved product and with all the user requests for what should be a simple functionality returned that Fitbit hasn't done anything about it.  The Charge 2 was a great device why on earth couldn't the 3 have just been a waterproof version?  Instead it's a step backwards that doesn't have the functionality that made the 2 great.  Fix it or you're going to lose a large portion of your base, I've already told many people to stay away and why I felt that way and I'll continue to do so until the concerns of the users are addressed.

BTW the solution of if the device adds steps or stairs that are inaccurate just go in and remove them manually is ludicrous, if I wanted to manually track that information I wouldn't have bought a device to do it for me.  I never had the issue with my Charge 2 so the fact that we all do with the 3 means it's a product problem, fix it!

Hilarious with all the "good idea" comments by the moderators. 🤦‍:male_sign: This is the first thing all users want to do: hide apps you don't use, set order on the apps you use.

It would be great to get an update that allows the charge 3 to customize the order of stats and apps like the charge 2 provided.

I just got the Charge 3 and it would be really useful if I could delete some of the apps and stats that display on the Charge, and also edit the order in which they appear. There are some apps/stats that I don’t find useful, and they are cluttering up my display, which makes it more difficult to access the information and apps I really want to see/use.

I had the Fitbit Charge 2 and you were able to move things around and remove what you wanted.  Other than this being waterproof, I think it sucks.  Not user friendly and it's like it took 2 giant steps backwards in the field.  Their chat desk and help desk are even a bigger joke.  Tried to explain what I wanted and they kept saying that you can change the clock face.  I know that.  May need to look at other companies

Having options was one the major reasons I got the Alta HR. I got the Charge 3 because I wanted an upgrade. Though with out the ability to customize your stats or apps it seems more like a down grade. As a tech savvy person I just don't understand why this is an issue and why it's taking so long for Fitbit to fix this.

I just got my Charge 3 and it is good so far. I would like to remove some of the items in the display as they are not relevant to me. There was an option to do this from the phone app for my Charge HR.  Thank you.

I found no way to do it and so it seems does most of the charge 3 customers.
