Stats don't decrease after logging Driving

@LizzyFitbit Personally, I've loved my Blaze and my Versa 2 - especially the Versa 2. Stainless steel band? You can't beat it. The heartrate sensor no longer functions (no light, no nothing), so the sleep tracking no longer works, but who knows? Right now, it records my steps and flights and I have several really nice watch faces that I switch around. I charge it every morning while I'm doing my shower routine, but I've not seen it go under 60% battery, and it's already a few years old.

I received an update to the Fitbit app yesterday that had Driving as an activity. Unfortunately, it doesn't do what it did before (as with the Motorcycle activity). You can log the Driving activity, but it does not impact the steps and flights like it used to. And when I try to edit the activity, the details show it as Walk. It's getting there, but still not working yet - at least for me. I'd love to hear others' experiences.

Hello!  So I see the driving option is back, that's great!  However when I log driving it does not update my step count so my steps still read a few thousand over what they should and as a result my calorie tracker is also off.  Hope this can also get sorted soon!

New Fitbit update dropped this afternoon. Cleared the cache and tried entering "Driving" activities. Still no impact upon the invalid steps/flights from riding my motorcycle.

I'm so glad Fitbit reinstalled the Driving exercise. Now maybe they would tell us why, since it doesn't do anything that I could see. It does NOT subtract steps. I just got off my mower and 3000 steps had been added - they are still there after logging the Driving exercise for the entire time.

Oh great well what a waste of time!! Isn't that the point of adding it in to remove the steps.. Wow...

And instead of all the effort removing and adding that feature, maybe pause steps feature added would of worked 25 times better

Hi everyone!

Thank you for confirming that the Driving activity is showing up in your Fitbit app. Regarding the issue you're experiencing with your data not decreasing after logging this activity, I've now passed this on to our team for a closer look. They will investigate what might be causing this.

I appreciate your patience and I will be sure to share any updates with you as soon as I receive them.

By the way, I've moved your posts into a new thread so we can keep the forum discussions focused and well-organized.

Not sure why you are closing the thread as the issue has NOT been resolved. The Driving activity used to work, was removed for some unknown reason, and all they did was create a placeholder that does NOTHING. Tell those lazy developers to look into the history of the code and see what was removed and REPLACE it. This is not rocket science, it just proves that what I stated above is more truth than opinion.

However, logging driving still does not remove the steps, or change calories, from today's total

Entering Driving as an activity used to remove incorrectly added steps from being on a tractor or riding mower. Then Fitbit removed the Driving option because someone thought it wasn't needed. Last week they added Driving as an exercise back. Unfortunately it doesn't do anything. Step count stays the same. Why can this not be corrected. Or give another way to remove steps for a given time period.

Hi there, @nocturnecsh and @LarryJo.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. I'd like to clarify with you that the other thread was closed since the issue with the Driving activity not appearing was resolved. In addition to this, we opened a new thread related to this new issue so we can keep the discussion focused and prevent any misunderstanding. Nevertheless, I understand where you're coming from and I apologize for this inconvenience.

Regarding your stats not decreasing, may I know if there was an active workout on your Fitbit device when logging a driving activity? Also, please take screenshots of your activity history and step count, and attach them to your reply. Once I have these details, I'll forward them to our team so they can keep investigating and bring a fix.
