Rowing/Stationary Rowing Machine Exercise Shortcut

Considering most of the important cardio equipment is represented in the Exercise list, I think it's more than justifiable to add a stationary rowing machine to the list. Almost every gym in America contains at least one or more Concept 2 rower as it is a total body and low impact method of Cardio. It's one of my favorites and I'm sure I am not the only user that is a bit disappointed that is not represented.

Please add rowing!! It's such a great full body workout and it's asked about a lot! Please, let's ROW!!

Yes please add a rowing app!! The integration from Concept 2 works (if you have this rower) for distance and calories but not heart rate measurements.

Yes!! I use a rowing machine at home, it keeps me from having to go to the gym all the time. Please add this to use along side treadmill and elliptical. Please!!!

Fitbit just doesn't care.  Not sure why they even have this forum.  Optics I guess.

1,500+ requests, over 2 years and they won't even dignify the request with a response.

I'm bigly over Fitbit.  Going Garmin for father's day .  They have rowing.

So this was suggested in 2015...

It's 2019. Four years. I think I'm just gonna switch to Garmin at this point.

Yes, my next smart watch will probably be a Garmin - it definitely won't be
a fitbit. Terrible customer support.

The heart rate monitor on Fitbit is more accurate than Garmin I actually just switched back to Fitbit recently

Hi,

Is it possible to have indoor rowing as an exercise activity available on the Charge 3? I use a Water Rower at home and a Concept 2 at the gym.

Considering rowing is one of the best and most complete aerobic sports out there, it does not make any sense to have it out of the fitbit selection of activities. We are not talking about bowling, we are talking about Rowing.

Hi,

Kindly requesting that you add indoor rowing as an activity. I have a Water Rower at home and I always warm up with a rower at the gym. Thanks.

Rowing, whether on a rowing machine or on a river is supposedly seen as one of the best all round exercises that you can do as it includes, legs, arms and core muscles..

please include this as 3 members of my family all have fitbits and they all row..

It would be very useful for those of us using both a Fitbit and a Concept 2 rowing machine if they could communicate - in particular see the heart rate alongside work rate.

Rowing machines are one of the best low impact cardio there is, could you please add it to the work out options. I am rather suprised how little workouts you acctually do offer to track. I expected fitbit to be able to track more exercises than google fit, and more macronutrients like cronometer. Considering the price you pay for a fitbit, I just thought it would do better than the free apps available.

I really don't understand why it is taking so long to add in- and outdoor rowing to the Fitbit. This is one of the simplest and least error prone activities to monitor for something on your wrist. A lot of the other functions such as counting the floors or counting steps are incredibly inaccurate (this is not a Fitbit thing but this is the case across the whole spectrum of activity trackers).

I just purchased a Charge 3 and very disappointed that it will not record rowing. I need to do this cardiovascular exercise because l can't walk or run because l have scoliosis and peripheral neuropathy. I recently had my aortic valve replaced and cardiac

exercise is critical. I hope there is something Fitbit can do about this.

People have been asking for several years. It seems like Fitbit is deaf
when it comes to their user's requests.

Very disappointed after spending this much money for something that doesn't fit my needs. It is not what l was looking for to FIT(bit) my needs.

This would be sooo great! Please do this, already. But please don't make it just a Concept 2 sync, as there are people (like me) with alternative hardware, e.g., Water Rower.

I agree, mine is a water rower.

Yes please. Indoor Rowing is an obvious exercise that should be included in Fitbit devices.

I feel the Charge 3 that l purchased should be able to be returned and be
replaced by a Fitbit, at no cost, to one that monitors indoor rowing.

Please add native rowing tracking to the Fitbit suite of exercises. This is a very popular and growing activity (particularly among women), and perhaps the very best single full-body workout. Thank you.

Yes, please. Add rowing (indoor and outdoor/real) as a measurable exercise on the all devices, including Inspire HR. Anytime now would be great 😉😄 Thank you.

After looking back through posts since 2015, I know that you are aware of many requests for Fitbit to be able to track a rowing motion.  (It MUST be possible, because Garmin trackers have the capability, but overall, I prefer Fitbit; just got a new one and would really like to stick with it!!).

As an FYI, I just registered on the Concept2 website and because I am new and nothing has been logged, my ranking is 1,270,538 ...meaning, over a million users around the world!!  That’s a lot of potential Fitbit wearers!! (hint, hint).

Seriously, I’m tired of the tedious workarounds to track my rowing workouts...

Fitbit, PLEASE do what you need to do to add Rowing to your tracking capabilities!!
