I have a bad habit of running into things with my Fitbit Chare HR on my wrist, and the result is a pretty scratched up screen. A more durable display would be great.
This doesn't only apply to the Charge HR but all Fitbit devices with screens made of the same plastic material. Frankly, this is a rather poor decision on Fitbit's part. Who in their right mind would design an activity tracker that isn't durable enough for sedimentary activities, let alone those done by a more athletic individual?
I had a Charge HR and the most I ever did was sleep with it on and pull my sleeves over it. I never bumped it into anything or fell with it on, but yet it managed to form a ton of microscratches and I eventually had it replaced only to have the new one render the same fate after a short period of continued use.
Please, build better quality products. I really do want to like this company/brand, but with such a low quality screen (which is one of the most important parts of the device), I'm finding it very difficult to remain a fan.
I had my Fitbit for 2 weeks and got a major scratch on it. Apparently, this scratch as not covered by the limited warranty. Some sort of face protector or scratch proof face needs to be developed. This is my first Fitbit product, but I don't think I would recommend it to others since it is so easily scratched and there is nothing that can be done to protect it.
