SpO2/oxygen percentage for Charge 3

Please consider adding SpO2/oxygen percentage for Charge 3. It would be incredibly useful for daily use and even more so now with covid. Thank you!

I completely agree! this would be a huge help for community members. The graph is something at least but it's the bare minimum and it really doesn't help users track anything.

As an owner of a Charge 3,I have found it extremely frustrating to get the product to deliver on the product description.  The device was marketed and sold as able to measure blood oxygenation levels.  It may do so, but actually getting access to the data is the problem.  In the early stages, back in 2020, we were promised SpO2 reports but then told that we would not actually get %, which is the standard for representing SpO2, but rather we would get this odd chart with no values on the y-axis.  Other users in the community have commented that the chart could display "High Variation" when the SpO2 was actually 93%.  When asked what exactly Low and High variations translate to, Fitbit support does not offer a meaningful or understandable response.  Now, to top the cake with an extra layer of icing, Fitbit reports a new release that offers SpO2 as % readings. Alas, I checked to be sure all my apps were updated and they are, but I have the same old variation chart and no % readings.  I dig deeper and am told I need to download a new clock face. When I do, I am told that my Charge 3 is NOT SUPPORTED.  WHAT!!! REALLY!!! Not only can I not get on demand readings, or even 24 hour charting, I don't get access to the newer % readings, even if I subscribe to Premium.  [Not that Fitbit clearly states that the device doesn't work without a monthly subscription.]

Is the Charge 3 able to measure SpO2 or not?  If it is not, is Fitbit upgrading all these devices with a newer device that actually does what the Charge 3 was sold as being able to do?  Does that SpO2 variation chart displayed in the App actually represent real measurements of O2 saturation or is the chart a placebo?  The Charge 4 is the same format as the Charge 3, so why is the Charge 3 not supported?

SigHillDude I tottaly agree with you. It seems to be just another marketing scheme from FitBit 😞

There should be a way to see the blood oxygen percentage on the Charge 3 tracker, since it has the sensor and is only used for sleep tracking now.

I just don’t see any reason why they can’t add this, unless the sensor used to measure the blood oxygen isn’t precise enough to give a percentage. Can someone please clarify?

Hi @YojanaFitbit.

I was directed to this feature request after recently posting a similar request in the Charge 3 board.

It's been about a year and a half since @CatofSiena made the initial post and I was hoping you had an update for us. Specifically, has the request been shared internally with teams at Fitbit for consideration?

Thanks!
