Actually we can turn this thread to a selling thread for Fitbit devices.

Something in the spirit of-
"Selling my Fitbit device due to the lack of Unicode support"

I'm sure it'll get attention.

Or even better... We can post recommandtions for competing alternative
devices. I just bought the ticwatch watch. At first I considered to upgrade
my Fitbit charge 2 to the Versa one.. but after I realized that it won't
support Hebrew I bought the ticwatch...

Guys let's keep this professional and leave competitors out, although I'm
switched to a competitor and really happy.

So I'll start-
Selling my charge2 Fitbit for the lack of Unicode support.
Let me know if you want to buy it. It comes with extra straps. Very good
condition.

Good luck,

its really funny (sad!) that in 2018 adding a language, that is one of the most easy things, takes more then 3 years in " under consideration". i really think it is disrespectful for your customers. hope to see improved status!

Hi Fitbit personnel,
Can you please update what is the status of supporting HEBREW characters with Fitbit IONIC ?
Is there a chance that once there is an update it can be applied over existing devices, for example, the IONIC watch ?
It's important for me to know before I'm buying it.

DO NOT BUY IT if you need Hebrew support!!! Go Garmin instead!!

Can you please let us know if you're planning to add Hebrew(/other languages) support?

Stopped to use the Ionic. Hoped I'll be good without Hebrew notifications - doesn't work. Of course, will not renew my Coach Premium also.

Pretty disappointing and lame to see notifications as question marks because hebrew is still not supported!

Hello

Please support Hebrew letters. We can not recognize incoming calls nor notifications. It appears in unrecognized letters.

This is super important !

Frankly, a very basic feature I would never have imagined could be missing.   If I would’ve known, not sure I would have bought Fitbit.

Thanks.

Renana.

Supporting Hebrew feature was set to 'Under Consideration' before 3 YEARS (2015) ago.

What's going on ?!?!?!

Why is it taking so long ?

Any updates from the field about that ?

We are about to enter 2019 .......... soon !

Hello

Please support Hebrew letters. I can not recognize incoming calls nor notifications.

I just bought Fitbit Ionic two days ago and already think I made a mistake.

After reading  a few posts here, found myself very disappointed

Tomorrow I'll try to return it to the store.

Thanks.

You are absolutely right, you made a mistake 😞
Go ahead and return it back explaining them what is the reason.....
Maybe oneone there will be brave enough to give you a true answer when they
are going to support hebrew, because I didn't get such ......

Goodluck.

Hi there,

As a software engineer , and app developer for many many apps.    Adding internationalization is very simple .

Its not just hebrew , but all non-latin languages are added at the same time.

I just bought my Fitbit Versa and realized that the hebrew is not supported and shown as boxes ...

Very disappointing and shameful as Fitbit seems to develop such a great technology in their watches .  and they cannot support languages  ??

Just bought Versa and Hebrew is not supported. When do you plan to add support for it?

The last time hebrew was considered was 2015.

Goodluck ..... 😞

Probably never. I am waiting for over two years. Meanwhile, new models are
released to the market and guess what - no Hebrew support in none of them.
If you are practical and cannot manage without Hebrew support, do what I
did - switch to garmin. Best sport watch ever. Good luck waiting...

Agree with Yosi!!

It’s just a pity that people don’t look here BEFORE they waste their money
on irrelevant gadgets from suppliers with such “exemplary” service &
response times as this one.

MOVE TO GARMIN FAST!!!

Hi Yosi,
And what about the money you've invested ?

Unfortunately, gone with the wind. After I used it for a month, my charge2
was stored back in the box waiting for fitbit to support Hebrew. I am still
waiting for a miracle. It is not only Hebrew- it is all non-Latin languages
such as Arabic, Greek, Russian etc. All they need to do is to support
unicode characters in their software. I don't demand full user interface
translation but only to be able to read messages in any language. Frankly,
I lost hope. They don't even make the effort to set a far due date for
unicode support. It is always "under consideration". For me, buying a
fitbit is out of consideration.
