I would like to see fitbit trackers be able to sync with Bluetooth 4.0

Exactly what Holly says,

I have a smartphone (Aspera R5) Tradie and it just wont sync with the fitbit tracker.

The bluetooth requirements for the tracker is (version 4.0LE). IS FITBIT releasing a patch for the trackers to include bluetooth 4.0???

Hey! Compatible mobile devices with Fitbit must have both a BLE radio and software support. BLE is an optional component of Bluetooth 4.0, meaning not all devices with Bluetooth 4.0 include BLE.
