Switch between Child to parent view without logging out

Right now when going back to parent mode from he child view you have to confirm your password but it then logs you out and you have to re-enter your email and password. Can the password confirmation be the only security instead of having to type in all the extra info?

My sentiments exactly! The technology asks if the Fitbit will be tracked on the same device why can’t it allow the parent to swap back and forth.

I got my 10 year old son a Fitbit Ace for his birthday, he was asking for a Fitbit for the last 2 years ! I am sooooo disappointed!!! He can’t request friends or have a profile pic !

I wish I had just bought an Alta like mine !

I am soooooo angry about the Fitbit ace ! My son has been waiting 2 years for his own Fitbit & he can’t have Fitbit friends or a profile picture . He was hopping with excitement and now he is extremely disappointed & I feel like I’ve wasted my money !

I agree with the above comments. My daughter just received her ACE for birthday and was very upset that It is not possible to add a picture profile and friends. It is kind of useless without these features as they do not at that age set goals for themselves. She is already loosing interest for it as it is kind of only a watch to her. I consider returning it.

I returned mine and just got my daughter an Alta like mine. She loves it now and has been having a blast in our weekly family girl competitions. This was the whole reason I bought it.

Does she have her own fitbit account? I've considered returning mine, but
our kids don't have their own phones to have their own account.

My daughter has an iPod so she could have her own fit bit account. I really wanted to return her ace and get an Alta but she was so excited to get it, she didn’t want to wait. She’s disappointed now though when trying to do challenges!

If a photo cannot be used immediately (I’m sure there are some legal hoops to jump through), can a child at least pick a fun picture/avatar in the meantime? Now that the Ace is available and there is an option to add a child, Fitbit really needs to make this more fun for kids! Hoping my daughter isn’t disappointed when we give the Ace to her tomorrow for her birthday. I was hoping for a grown up looking Fitbit (which she wants!) with more child friendly features and so far I’m not terribly impressed.

I agree entirely with BarbieAS84

Please add the feature to add a picture to a child’s account (Ace). My 11 year old daughter was excited to finally get a Fitbit only to be disappointed that she couldn’t add her picture or add her friends.

My daughter was also really dissapointed she can't add a photo - hopefully this feature can be added soon!

My son got a FitBit Ace after having a Garmin VivoFit Jr.
He was disappointed that he was unable to upload a photo or avatar for his user profile.
Why is this feature not available for children on a family account?

I'd also like to add please can you update the fitbit ace features so my son can upload his profile picture. Thanks!

Yes I Agree with everyone else. My daughter is bummed to not be able to have her picture as well and If I knew this wasn't an option when we bought it I would've just bought her a regular one.

I now have two child accounts in our family account.  Since they can't have a picture, we can't tell who is saying what when we send messages to each other in the group challenges.  Please add the picture option to the child's account quickly!  It would sure help in our conversations with each other!

I would like some sort of quick change as well.  If you are fully logging out maybe add touchID/face recognition support for logging in to the app itself or some other quick sign on thing like how many steps your fitbit has at the moment of trying to switch or something.  Not that I don't  understand the security side of it but having the button say "switch to parent view" then logging you out all the way where you have to then tap the login button seems, in this digital age,  rather draconian for a leader in the industry.

Bought my daughter the 'ace' today for her birthday. She's gutted she can't have her photo on there and is asking me to take it back and buy her a normal adult one.

Would love this feature, even if it was just an avatar.

Bought both my kids an Ace a few weeks back, and was really disappointed there isn't anything, especially when completing challenges and we can't see who is who without clicking the blank pictures!

I understand this would be really helpful but would need to be a parent controlled option .

If the child has their own iPhone, you would not want the child being able to switch to moms account.

Just adding my two cents here - we got our two kids (6 and 😎 Aces so we could do family challenges and they are beyond bummed they can't add a photo! Please add this feature asap!

My daughter is also very disappointed that she can't have a profile picture or request her own friends. I get the safety issue regarding pictures but not being able to have a profile pic or letting them request their own friends seems ridiculous especially when the parents are in charge of their account.  We just purchased this Ace today and have 10 days to return it, which we will if this isn't changed soon!  I wish I would've known this before purchasing it because I would've waited until these issues were fixed or something better came along

We were all very disappointed that a child cannot have a picture added to their profile. This is particularly discouraging when doing challenges with other family members, as the kids are the only ones without a face. Please add this feature.
